Hello kids and parents!
No winner! Okay I am stunned!
For the first time in 40 weeks, we don’t have a winner for two consecutive weeks.
Be prepared to kick yourself when you see this week’s answer.
- It is a 15-letter word starting with “U”
- Not eligible
- Not secured
- Amiss
I took a word that is all too familiar with Steemians and I just add a little bit of "extra meaning to it."
And the word is… “UNCOPYRIGHTABLE”
As there are not many words that are 15 letters that start with a “U”. I truly thought you guys were going to get it right.
Umh.. the second week also belongs to me.
Let’s take a closer look at the explanation of uncopyrigtable.
Copyright – This is when an artist or author protects their original work by intellectual property law. They can now sell their work or obtain royalties. In other words, they can receive an earning from it.
Free of copyright – In Steemit we see contest posts daily where the rules refer to “only FREE copyright images”. This happens when the author or artist does away with their copyright rights. This means that they don’t want to receive credit for their work or they don’t want to earn an income (royalties) on it.
Uncopyrigtable – This is when nobody can claim copyright on something.
Not eligible: officially unable to be considered for a position or benefit.
Not secured: – anyone can copy it
Amiss: – not quite right, no right to claim it as copyright
Examples of uncopyrightable items are the names and surnames of people, titles, government work, slogans, product ingredients, facts, and the list goes on.
And as we don’t have a winner this week it brings the prize for this contest to a whooping 6 STEEM!
Time for your next game!
The game is exactly like last week;
The game “I spy with my little eye” is sort of a detective game. The “spy” is the person who sees something and the rest of the players must then guess what the spy is seeing.
Of importance, it must be something that you can see and not something you can feel like an emotion.
BUT, “I spy with my little eye” is so much more than just a spy game;
- It is a thinking game
- It teaches you how to use your logic and reasoning and
- It grows your vocabulary
The contest
For today I am going to give you the letter with which the word starts plus 4 points or “clues” which you can take into consideration to figure out what the word can be.
Ready or not… let’s learn, play and win!
I spy with my little eye something that begins with the letter “C."
1. It is an 11-letter word
2. It is the voicing of something
3. It entitles two or more people
4. It can result into a disagreement
How to participate?
- You can reply to this post by posting your word or you can write an article about your word
- You can only enter once
What is up for grabs?
The first correct answer will take home 6 STEEM this week.
The word and the winner will be announced next week Wednesday therefore make sure you don't send in your answer later than Tuesday 23:59 UTC.
If there is no winner the prize will carry over until there is a winner.
Until next week, keep guessing!
