Food challenge contest week #88|| For kids and parents|| How to cook Okra-vegetable soup

Introduction

Good afternoon my dear steemkids friends, how are you all doing today? I hope everything is fine? Today I wish to drop my entry on a food challenge contest and I hope you guys will love it. I thank @steemkidss for creating this contest that has given me the opportunity to be active in this community.

The meal

Today's meal is a very wonderful meal that I will want you guys to taste it as well because it gives lots of nutrients to the body. Stay tuned as I give you guys more details about this details.

Ingredients of this meal

To prepare this meal, only few ingredients are required and they all contribute to the nutrients of the meal. They are;

  • Okra
  • Onions
  • Fresh pepper
  • Crayfish

  • Salt and maggi
  • Fresh ice fish
  • Water
  • Palm oil and vegetables

Steps in preparing this meal

The few steps in preparing this meal are easy and short, it wouldn't take time. They are known as 👇

Step 1

Set your pot on fire, add palm oil and allow to boil for some minutes.

Immediately your already blended pepper and onions.

Step 2

Add your cow skin (kpomo) and meat stock and stir.

Immediately you are done add the fresh ice fish into the pot in order for the pepper to enter it and scent. Add salt for taste then cover the pot and allow it to boil.

Step 3

Add your cow meat. Allow to boil some minutes. Remove the ice fish from the pot to prevent it from scattering while stirring the soup.

Add your vegetable (pumpkin leaves).

Step 4

Add okra and stir thoroughly to prevent them from sticking together making it difficult to be enjoyed during eating.

After that, add crayfish, maggi (seasoning cubes) and stir.

Step 5

You can also add salt if the first addition wasn't enough.

Then you finally add your ice fish.

Conclusion

Do not cover the pot after adding okra and after adding the other ingredients as well. This is to prevent the okra from melting. Instead cover the pot in a half way with the lid. Okra vegetable can be served with Eba (garri), cassava fufu, semolina, Amala, Tuwo shinkafa, or pounded yam.
