@steemitblog, @steemcurator01 and @steemcurator02, including the entire members of Steemkids community and Steemit at large, it is our pleasure to make this all-important expansion in the history of this community.

Steemkids community has been known as a community for kids all over the world even since its introduction. Since then, we as admin and moderators, have been doing our best to ensure that we maintain the vision and mission of this community which were 👇

To create a safe future for our kids and unborn generations. We see a future where children are completely safe and have the best environments to pursue their dreams and aspirations through our community projects. We imagine a future where the steem blockchain powers real life-changing opportunities for children all over the world.

Every child matters and deserve all the best things in life. We aim at supporting children around the world to reach their full potential irrespective of their environment or their limitations. To encourage people to support children in every form no matter their social status, religious background, ethnicity, and class.

Steemkids community was conceived by me when I was carrying out a task in the Steemit Crypto Academy which was delivered by then professor @yousafharoonkhan. This involved the creation of a community as a practice section. After consultations with some friends, it was finally launched on the 14th of June, 2021 through an introduction post. We admitted as members, kids between the ages mentioned above and kids lovers who create kids-related content.

It is our great pleasure to announce that Steemkids community will no longer be called such but Steem Kids & Parents. This is to enable the parents and guidance of the kids to join their kids in the activities of the community.

We all know that parents and kids are inseparable. It is our greatest desire to extent this special bond and to continue striving giving the kids the support and attention they deserve.

We will also continue to assist and reward the kids to grow to their full potential as bloggers and leaders of tomorrow.

There will be no changes to the official account. We will continue to use @steemkidss which currently has 37,615.85 Steempower and we will continue to use this account to support our members. How?

We are a community for kids and parents/guardians and as such, our purpose is to support kids and parents. We will welcome all who are parents, guardians, and kids between the ages of 13 and 19 to feel free to share their publications in this expanded community.

We want all parents to feel a sense of belonging and to be part of their kid’s experience in this great community.
To know what their children are doing and to contribute towards them having a wow experience in this community.
