It's Christmas, today is a day for merriment, and the best time to write about a nice meal I made today "Rice and stew". It is a very common food worldwide, and stew can either be made with beef, chicken or goat meat. But I'll be showing you how I made mine with chicken.

• 12 cups of Rice
• Chicken
• Blended Tomato mix with pepper, Onions, etc
• Carrots
• Maggi
• Spices (Ginger, garlic onion etc) to season the chicken

The ingredients
Unfortunately I didn't take my phone with me while going to the market, but I got all my ingredients very early from the market, because it's a Christmas day, and if you aren't early you won't see a nice chicken to buy.
Rice
Firstly, I first of all cooked my rice, I don't know o, but I feel like that should always be the first thing to be done, when preparing rice and stew, so that when the stew is finally done, you can easily dish your food and eat, then rest.
After my rice was ready I put it in a cooler to cool down, I proceeded to make the stew proper.
- I started with the chicken, I seasoned it very well and cooked it for the spices to enter the body of the chicken well.
- Then I deep fried the chicken, and kept it a filter to drain the excess oil and cool off.
In as much as stew is one of the simplest food to cook, it's stressful oo, and the process takes long because of the tomatoes.
I seasoned my stew with Maggi, salt, pepper and added the chicken water, I let it cooked for sometime, after which I added my carrots and brought it down.
Finally, "Food is ready". I shared it amongst my family members, we ate it with soft drinks.
I ate my food, till I was satisfied, and I used fruit salad to step it down. I invite @zekanem, @uduak01 and @uduak3287 to participate in the contest.
