We are all happy at the community to see the update for the booming support application which welcomed all applications from all communities having satisfied some basic requirements. We are writing this piece to show our interest as we file an application to benefit from the booming support program.

A brief Introduction to Our Community
This application for the booming support is meant for the Steem4Nigeria community. Steem4Nigeria was birthed on the 12th of February 2022 before its announcement two days later. The community account, @steem4nigeria was created on the same day. @steem4nigeria has remained our curation account ever since its creation.
The community account at the moment of putting down this piece has a total of 3,031.84 SP own Steem Power and effective Steem Power of 16,901.66 SP having received delegations of 13,869.82 SP from Admins/MODs and other community members. The reputation of our community account is at 66 and the account complies with #club75 at the moment.

We are currently a beneficiary of the booming support and the process of selection has been transparent such that quality articles are selected for the daily support without any segregation. In addition, we have not forced any member to delegate or set us some rewards beneficiary before they can be considered for booming support. Steem4Nigeria has 204 active users at the moment.

Note that: All the Admins and Mods of the community have remained active to date and have been actively involved in the community activities in one way or the other.
Community Account Keys
The community account's posting key is shared with all the Admins and MODs for easy access to the account when need be. That being said, the entire keys to the account are held by me, @fredquantum, and @ngoenyi such that all other actions that required more than the posting key are carried out by either of us, after we have reached a consensus within ourselves (the entire team).
Purpose of the Community
The community is birthed out of the necessity to create a space for Steemians from Nigeria. Before its creation, we have other communities created by individuals that are Nigerians, the likes of SteemAlive, CampusConnect, and SteemKids while Steem4Nigeria is an official Steem account for Nigerians created by the collective efforts of some of the existing users (both old and new). We aim to achieve;
- Gathering Nigerians on Steemit to a place they can call their home in the ecosystem.
- To achieve Steem growth by engaging old and new users in the quest to ensure they remain active and contribute to the ecosystem.
- To ensure that Steemit reaches more places in Nigeria as we have active Steem promoters amongst us.
How we Prevent Plagiarism and Abuses
The Admins and MODs have been working together to avoid all forms of plagiarism and abuse in the community which has enabled us to maintain a healthy space over time. Some of the ways we have achieved that are as follows;
- All articles in our community are adequately checked for all forms of plagiarism utilizing tools like https://smallseotools.com/plagiarism-checker/, https://www.duplichecker.com/ and other appropriate tools to detect plagiarism and articles found to be involved are marked plagiarized. Repeated offenders risk getting muted in the community. We also ensure that articles made in the community are #steemexclusive.
- Understandably, many farming accounts fly around in the ecosystem and we have been attentive to those. We have muted an account of such and any other ones detected would be immediately eliminated from participating in our community.
- In addition, some accounts have been hacked recently which were used for the spreading of phishing attacks, to protect our community members from falling victim we mute such accounts. We would be on the lookout for more of such and educate our members to stay safe from such methods of scams.
Conclusion
In conclusion, this is with no doubt a great opportunity for us as a community to apply for the booming support program by the Steemit team. Steem4Nigeria is barely 5 months old but it's deep-rooted in achieving its aim of creation and we have a team that has been able to satisfy the basic requirements for the program.
In addition, we have been a beneficiary of the program before without abusing it and we would even do better if given the chance again, as such contributing to the growth of Steem with genuine users being supported through the program. Thanks to the Steemit team.
