Steem Solar Project - Touching Lives
Donating a 3.5 KVA Photovoltaic system.
A Gift With Real Value |
---|
Government Technical College at Ewet in Uyo is the only functional technical school within Uyo local government and it's environs. The school have students commuting all the way from Itam and Itu local government.
The school has a vast array of tools and resources to be used in training young ones but like the rest of the town, it is also plagued by frequent brown and blackouts. A situation that makes it difficult to run most equipment especially the systems in the ICT department. Due to irregular supply of power and the high cost of running a generator.
Practical ICT lessons have greatly been affected by irregular power supply and the provision of an alternative source of power is an answer to the prayers of both the students and teachers alike.

Steemians present at the occasion |

The presence of the following Steemians went a long way to further grace the occasion.
@ubongudofot
@eliany and family
@goodybest
@manuelhooks
@skinnyblack
@kay-owobia
I was impressed as the Steemians at the location wested no time introducing the steemit platform to those present, I personally witnessed two successful registrations and two inactive users who's interest were rekindled.
One of the reactivated Steemian is @ettetedee, seeing steemit from a deferent perspective reignited his interest. His first and last post was eleven months ago.
Refreshment |
---|
We then left the school and the event shifted location to Tropicana where we had some refreshing moment
What3Words for location
Unlike it's usual buzzling nature, we noticed the place had very few people around so we arrived at a conclusion that it was due to the time of the day, the place is less crowded in the afternoon hours.
It was easy to select a spot for refreshment. ..
We are thankful to @pennsif and to all Steemians who made this possible through their contributions and support of the Steem Solar Project.
