You woke up on a beautiful morning, and realized your legs and ankles are all swollen, you immediately attach some superstitious belief!!

You're urinating more frequently than normal, an African man is already accusing his relatives of being the cause!!

You are always tired (fatigue) even when you're not involved in some tedious job, you're not concerned atall!!

The list might go on and on.
Although the above symptoms might happen as a result of just any medical condition, ask yourself again, "Am I taking proper care of my kidney"?

The kidney is a very important organ through which many life processes are carried out.

Imagine your body cannot excrete waste products from your blood through the urine.

Imagine your body can't regulate electrolyte balance, for example, excess sodium and water cannot be removed from your body.

Imagine your body can't regulate blood pressure because the kidney is not producing certain hormones necessary to do that.

What do you think will be the state of the human body if all these things happen?

I believe as you are pondering over that question, you're already appreciating the beauty and explicit function of the kidney.

In most cases, you see most of the symptoms outlined in the onset of this writeup, sometimes even very serious ones if your kidney is faulty.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has set aside this day 9th March to remind the public of the need for kidney care and attention while immediately reporting any unusual signs and symptoms to the appropriate medical professional.

Fatality associated with kidney failures/ diseases are alarming and should be curtailed. Most times you hear cases of kidney transplant and the likes. A common man can't even afford that, so he is surviving on the hope that someday he or she will cease to exist. Tragic !!!

Now is the time to wake up, now is the time to value self-care, now is the time to speak up, now is the time to talk to your neighbor about kidney care tips. IT'S WORLD KIDNEY DAY!!!

Check out these few kidney care tips, you might also want to share with others as well.
