Espen Bredesen is still living, and he has been active in the media channels. He was an admired ski jumper from Norway. But he made some disastrous competitions in his ski jumping career. But Espen understood how serious this ski jumping can be, and that you need to be best to be remembered!
Svein «Matta» Mathisen was a recognized football player for IK Start in Kristiansand, and he also played for the national football team for Norway. And he got the gold match for playing 25 matches or more for our national team, and he died of cancer. But «Matta» was funny and serious, and we all loved him. And he was educated as a journalist, and he made several enjoyable comments and reports in the local newspaper in Kristiansand, and Svein always moved in the fitness patterns, and he enjoyed training and playing matches with competition! Svein made several goals in his career as a football player, and he scored in a national team match between Norway and Switzerland in 1980!
Espen Bredesen got the comments from Svein «Matta» Mathisen in the newspapers. And after the tragic results of Espen of The Winter Olympic Games in Albertville in 1992, Svein suggested that Espen should burn his skis! Espen got the last place in the large and in the small hill! But Espen folded up the sleeves, and he made it great again for Norway. Norway is located in the northwestern edge of Europe, and it is a cold rock pile and a winter sports land. So, it has traditions to be a strong and recognized land for the skis!
Espen Bredesen is born on the 2. February 1968 in Oslo, and he was a Norwegian ski jumper. Therefore, Espen is living as us all today, and he has reached to be 52 years old. In The World Championship in Falun in 1993, he won gold in the large hill and in team jumping. And the commentator said: «And it is calm in the hill, and Espen is coming!». And in the season 1993/1994, Bredesen had calculated the shape well, and he won The German Austrian jumping week, that is The Four Hills Tournament in ski jumping. Later on, he won the gold during The Olympic Games at Lillehammer in 1994 in the normal hill (K90), and he got the silver medal in the large hill (K120), and during the last period of the season, he followed up with silver in The World Cup in ski flying!
Two times, Espen improved the world record in sky flying, til 209 meters and to 210 meters, and this was done in respectively 1994 and 1997. In 1993, Espen Bredesen was given and assigned the gold medal for the foundation to Morgenbladet, a newspaper coming in the morning in Norway. And in 1994, he was assigned the medal for Holmenkollen, and this was medal was giving him together with Lyubov Yegorova and Vladimir Smirnov. And these three guys were admired in the world, and they were known in many places.
Espen Bredesen was the Norwegian flag bearer during The Winter Olympic Games in 1998 in Nagano. Hence, he was respected to take the responsibility for Norway as his nation! Bredesen put up the same year due to a neck injury that he had incurred during a training event four years before. In 13 years to 2014, he was engaged of the national channels NRK as the expert commentator in ski jumping. Espen Bredesen has many experiences in ski jumping, and he has been on the top and on the bottom of the result list, and the sun was shining several times to him! And today, he gets many gratulations from many of us in the world. You know, Norway is a little country in the northwestern edge of Europe, but we know how to use the snow during the winter, and how we can obtain excellent results internationally with the different skis with many nations represented! Norway is strong in several disciplines during the snow season, and these areas are ski jumping, cross-country skiing, slalom and several other areas of skiing! And there are still coming new variants of using the skis or the snowboarding! The masses in Norway and in other countries can enjoy all the medals that is coming, and we can also be pleased about the history with all the medals!
Espen Bredesen is still working, and he has a family. Everybody knows him in Norway, and he is also known in other countries. Good luck with all activities and all events in future, Espen! When Espen was doing skiing, he jumped into the eternity! We all love him in Norway!
