Hi Steemit food lovers,
Today I going to introduce you my favorite meat shop, Fernando Farm Shop in Moratuwa. They are located in just 02mins walk to my workplace. Chicken is the most popular meat item in Sri Lanka. Other meat like Beef, Pork, Mutton are not in day to day consumption in most Sri Lankans lifestyle due to religious beliefs. However, when there's a special occasion all meat items are available.
Why I like this meat shop?
Fernando Farm Shop has Chicken, Pork, varieties of Sausages & Eggs in their shop. The main reason I like this shop is that they cut chicken as I want and sell. That way it is easier for me to go and cook. From all the customers they ask how they want their chicken to be chopped. The staff is very friendly and efficient in what they do. Also, they give the best price in the whole town. Because of that the place is busy every minute. In the evenings usually there's a queue lined up to purchase meat from this place.
Selling Process
- There are fresh chicken available in the meat display cabinet and we have to tell which one is we want.
- They take the chicken and scale it and whether it is sufficient.
- If we order it then they will ask whether we want it cut and how small we want to cut it.
- Once they done, they will tell the shop owner the amount and we have to pay to him.
