Hello everyone! How are you doing? Specially to newcomers like me. Now, let me show you how I cook our very own Pork Nilaga our local name here in Philippines. This recipe is one of the most common dishes that a Filipino family prepare especially during Sundays. It is one of our bonding time to eat together so it's best to prepare the best one. There are many ways on how to cook it and mostly it varies on their add-on ingredients and it depends on how your imagination explores.

These are my raw ingredients of Pork Nilaga:

500g pork
1 medium size of squash
5 pcs long string beans
1 pc medium size Gabi
1 pc big size Sweet Corn
1/2 medium size sayote
1 pc whole Chinese pechay
1 pc small ginger
2 pcs lemon grass
2 pcs medium size sili espada
Salt and seasoning

Get ready of all the ingredients. Peel off the squash, sayote, and the Gabi. Slice or cut the string beans, sweet corn, sili espada, squash, sayote and Gabi according to your desired size. Roll the lemon grass so that it will not disturb to other Ingredients. Pound the ginger for better
taste.

The procedures:

Step 1.
Put together the pork, Gabi, ginger and lemon grass into the kettle without water also put 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Then heat it for about 5 minutes or until no water left or maitos our local term.

Step 2.
Add water that will level the meat. When it starts boiling add the knorr pork cubes a kind of seasoning that adds the deliciousness of the pork soup. Allow it to boil until the pork becomes a bit tender. Check the amount of water left, you can add water as it is needed.

Step 3.
Add the sweet corn. Again, allow it boil for 15 minutes.

Step 4.
Then, add the vegetables sayote, string beans, and squash. When start boiling again add the right amount of salt as your desired taste and seasoning. Let it boil for around 5 minutes, then add the sili espada. Wait for another 3 minutes of boiling.

Step 5.
When almost all ingredients are almost cooked add the pechay. Then after 1 minute of boiling turned off the stove. So that the pechay will not be overcooked.

The nutritious and delicious Pork Nilaga is now to ready to serve. Happy eating.
