Preparation
I grinded my ogbono in the market and it looked like what you are seeing on the picture below
The manual grinding machine
Grinded ogbono
Then I sliced okra at home
I washed and cut the uziza leaf to look like this
Next, I washed the meat, fish and the periwinkle and put inside the cooking pot. I added pounded fresh pepper, onions Ginger and garlic as wells turmeric, stock cube, and salt. I tuned everything together and placed it on fire but I didn't add any water but the water from the meat.
These pictures explains it all
This will enable the ingredients to sink into the meat, fish and the periwinkle. After a while, when I notice that there is no water again in it, I then added the quantity of water that will be enough for the soup. I allowed to cook very well to soften the meat.
When I was sure that the meat is done and ready, I brought the pot down and turned the stock over to a smaller pot
Then placed the empty pot on fire and added Palm oil to it. I used this me\ns to desolvethe ogbino to avoid lumps
This is the empty pot on fire
I have added oil. But the oil do not need to be hot.
As soon as I add the oil, I added the ogbono
and stired to desolve
Look at the devolved ogbono
The next thing I did was to turn the stock back to the dissolved ogbono and stired again. I then covered the pot and allow it to boil for 10minutes .
Here is when I was turning the stock into the porn an I stired it
After I allowed it to cook for 10 minutes, this is how it looked like
I then added the okra
I added the leaf
And allowed to cook for like 3 minutes. My soup is ready here as you can see. I checked for salt and other things and saw that they were OK.
Here, the soup is ready to be eaten. Please join me.
