I made 3 different products from my used blouse cloths. My output product was a lunch bag, washable mask, and waste rags for cleaning used. I want to show you the step by step process
How to Make a Washable Mask
Today mask is very important due to a pandemic that spread around the world. I want to show you step by step how to make a washable mask.
We must cut the fabric using the pattern on a mask. Then I cut the sleeve portion of the blouse for my mask.
We join the center of the mask to have a center form.
Sewn a topstitch in the center of the mask.
Put a garter on the both side of mask edge.
You need to have inside sewing of the mask round. But you need to left a 3cm opening on the edge. So that we can reverse the mask.
After you reverse the mask you need to have topstitch round so that mask have a good quality. This is our finish product.
how to make a lunch bag.
First I cut the used cloth into square form without using a pattern. Because it is only a simple lunch bag.
I cut also the neckline piping of the cloth. I used this as the cord which I inserted in the opening of the bag.
I fold the corner of the cloth to have an opening for the cord.
I used an edging machine to sew the edge of the cloth.
I only used a single fold for the edge of my bag so that I can easily insert the cord in the opening.
I sewed the corner of the square cloth. It seems that the edge of the fabric is not level
Then we need an edging machine to sew the edge of the bag and level it using the edging cutter blade. This is the wrong side of the bag.
We need to reverse the bag and put a cord on the opening.
This is now the finish product of my lunch bag.
How to make a waste rag
Waste rags is used to clean a surface of our house. This is usually used in cleaning a tables and chair. So I want to show you how to make waste rag.
I used a pattern in order to cut a waste rag so that the form and size will be the same.
We need to put a waste cut fabric in the center before we put the whole round fabric on the top.
We need to have a topstitch round on the waste rag using a sewing machice. We start our topstitch a the center and we form a circle top.
