PROMOTING BUSINESSES THROUGH STEEM- EPISODE 1 - 10% TO @promosteem

10% payout goes to @promosteem.com

Hello lovely people, I am very honoured to be a part of this wonderful community. I must commend @arie-steem and @stephenkendal for their continous generosity. Promoting steem has been something i have been thinking of doing but since ii came home i have been engaged with family. I was priveledged enough to join the Steem-Ghana Virtual Meetup With Promo-Steem Community Leaders at discord even though i couldnt wait till the end of the meeting because i had to break out to pray but while i was still present we discussed matters on steem-promo and how well we can do to promote it better. In fact it was really educative.

I had some time today and decided to promote steem in my community but this time it was for young energetic youths who started their own business due to unemployment issues in the country. I must say steemit has really helped to curb a part of the unemployment issues in my country because of the massive outreach by fellow steemians. It has also helped people to get their daily breads and also start up little businesses.

In my journey today to promote businesses through steem, I targeted 4 bussinesses which were tailoring , second hand clothes , welding and shop keeping Among these 4 i was able to interact with just 3 of them. These were all young guys who completed either high school or colleges but couldnt get enough resources to further or get jobs.

FIRST PERSON I MET

I met this young man called Lukman who happens to be my high school mate. i was so happy to see him because it had been ages since we saw each other. Lukman helps his brother to sell second-hand clothes. Lukman is a student of the university for development studies pursing BsC. Agric Technology. I started off by explaining what steemit was. These were the exact words i used.

I said Bro, I am really happy to share with you this opportunity where you blog and earn. He looked excited. I further added that, Steemit is a social media blockchain network where we blog to earn something. This is a punzi scheme where you need to deposit something before you can gain access to it. Its actually free for everyone. I also told him it didnt need any referrals.

Lukman was someone back at high school who was one of the good writers in our class. i told him there was a community called writings and review where he could join so he could share his articles and also participate in contest.
Lukman was happy with my submission. I sent the link to him on whatsapp and i assisted him sign up.

His steemit username is @lukman1, I also helped him navigate through the newcommers community. He read about the achievement task and was able to write up his introductory post* @lukman1 will also be sharing his business here and member who wish to purrchase any can pay with steem or sbd so in a way we promote steem and his business as well. I can actually wait to buy a shirt and pay him with steem. The future looks exciting.

We all can check out and read more about @lukman1.
This is the link to his achievement 1 post.

Moving forward, I proceeded to the next person available. I went to a guy who owned a tailor shop in my area. We call him D - Boy. Hes also one of the unemployed youth in my area who just waited and waited but no job and decided to create one for themselves. I met D boy in his shop busy with work. I told him i wanted to share something important with him. He said okay. I started off by explaining steemit to him. Just like i did with @lukman1. He later told me he wanted a platform where he could share his business for clients, i said

What if i told you that you could share your business on steemit, get clients and also get rewarded for sharing your post there.

He was suprised to hear this because what people knew was pay something before, but upon telling him steemit was free, He was excited and full ready to join.
I assisted him through the process and it was all set. I also told him clients who like his business will also pay him with steem or sbd in a way of promoting steem and also promoting his business as well. I took some pictures with him.

Rather unfortunate that i he couldnt sign up because of network issues but he said he would sign up later tonight if he closes from work.

Lastly, i passed by a nearby supermarket in my area. I met this wonderful lady called Marie who was one of the shop keepers. At first she was afraid because she thought it was a punzi scheme and probably any money was involved. I explained steemit so well to her. In fact i took my time so well to explain it to her because she wasnt social media type. Finally she understood it all and even shared it with her other two friends who were also in the shop. I tried to help them sign up but there was a bit of pressure there since many customers were tropping in. I didnt want to distract her work or cause any trouble so i gave her my number to call or text me if she faces any challenges in the process.

I took some pictures with Marie.

This was when i tried assisting her to sign up but she had to attend to customers in the shop. I was tired so i had to go home and get some rest.

It was such an interesting day. Among the few people i met it was @lukman1 who was able to sign up successfully and also posting his achievement 1 task. Atleast there was a possitive feedback. I will be doing more. Im also building more skills in promoting steem to people. Its good we help promote steemit to our people around us. Lets build a strong community together. Telling a friend about steemit is also an act of kindness or goodness. There are a lot of people jobless who cant even provide for themselves food. Steemit in a way help them. My greatest thanks to @stephenkendal for his generosity and sponsorship for promosteem.com and also @arie-steem for his guidance. I cant also end without thanking @njaywan, @oppongk and steem promoters in Ghana @mcsamm and @nattybongo for their direction and guidance.
Keep up the Good Work
