It's another day of the week and I'm delighted to participate in this contest today organized by @damithudaya which talks about 2023 Recap & hopes for 2024. I will be making my entry below so read through it and drop your valuable comment as it will be appreciated.
It is always good to sit back and then make a recap and also check the way forward. This is the only way one can progress. According to Socrates, an unexamined life is not worth living.
So at some point in our lives, we need to stay out and then check through our lives and how we have lived and then also make amends on how we can conveniently make it better. In today's contest, I will be sharing my recap and hopes as we enter the new year.
What are the memorable moments or achievements from this year?
One of the major achievements I have made this year is joining the Steemit platform. You may see it as nothing but to me, that is the greatest achievement I have made so far.
After my secondary education, I have been home working on a small job to earn a living and the pay wasn't encouraging. But when I came across the Steemit platform, I not only earned but also learned daily.
Joining the Steemit platform has reshaped my life for the better. Today, I can be able to write an article perfectly well with all the punctuation marks because I learned it from the platform. I have also learned how to use various tools throughout this year and all credit came from the platform.
So you see I'm not out of place to say my major achievement is knowing the Steemit platform. I have also withdrawn money from this platform which I have used to solve some personal issues and that is my biggest goal.
What are the most significant lessons you learned in 2023?
In 2023, the most significant lesson I have learned is to remain focused and never give up no matter what. Another thing I learned is to remain consistent and take more time to learn or study whatever I'm learning.
When I got to know about the Steemit platform, I decided to study and learn about it very well and that was the main reason for my growth because I was able to reach a milestone of 1k SP. This was as a result of hard work and consistency.
So if I had put in more effort, more results could have been obtained. So my main lesson is to remain active and focused and also to work hard to ensure I grow even more.
How has being Steemit influenced your journey?
Being a Steemian has influenced my journey in 2023 so much because since I joined the platform, I have learned a lot from people within and outside my country. Moreover, my writing and communication skills have changed completely because of the use of the different tools I learned about on the platform.
Also, being a Steemian has helped me to associate with more people since we chart and err out our feelings in the various WhatsApp groups we find ourselves in. It is also an opportunity to learn because there are lots of people present ready to assist at all times.
What are your key aspirations for the upcoming year

Indeed there are bigger goals targets or aspirations which I have for the coming year. One of the major targets is that I want to build my SP to at least 3K SP. Currently, I have about 1,250 SP and I believe with more hard work next year I will have that and more.
With a good SP, I believe I will earn more curation rewards and then support other Steemians who always mention me in their publications.
So the major target is to build my SP and also remain very active on the Steemit platform since I learned from it daily. Also, I want to gain admission and then go ahead to study more in this new year.
Finally, for the new year, I want to have a complete basic knowledge of the system so that I too can introduce some other people to the Steemit platform. I need to have this knowledge to properly mentor all those I will be recruiting in the coming year.
