Hey Hive!
We're back again with another Art Attack! If you're new to the series, this is where I share my drawings and the process behind them. A behind-the-scenes look at my artwork, if you will. This is not to say that I'm very good at art, or that I'm a professional in any way. In fact this is the opposite, and serves as a reminder to how I first started, and lets me track my progress too!
So if you're unfamiliar with my art posts, most of my art tend to be presents for my friends! And especially for online friends it's hard to get gifts other than straight up money or donations but that doesn't feel personal at all so I tend to opt for art instead! Nothing more personal than a one-of-a-kind artwork I think!
Like this piece I did for one of my gaming buddies in 2020:
This piece was made for one of my Twitch VIPs whose username is MinuteBean! He's helped me out a lot in Genshin Impact, the main game I play on Twitch ! And he's also quite the whale on my channel ("whaling" is a term on Twitch to refer to people who spend a lot of money) with so many donations despite my protests so I thought an artwork is the least I could do!
So the story behind this piece is quite a doozy but long story short, this is in reference to one of the longest highlights on my channel (attributed to a single user), where Bean and a couple others in chat were messing around with the chat commands and bots on my channel, specifically the !love command which will give a response of [user] and X are Y% in love. Obviously this gets way out of hand with people "loving" some not so wholesome stuff in chat..
And then it just evolved into Bean messing around with the 8ball bot in my chat. Bean had a legendary character arc going from ultra degenerate (i.e. FBI open up) to wholesome and finally gay.? Err there was a lot going on so just watch the highlight on my Twitch or Youtube if you’re curious.. let’s just say Bean ended up questioning his life choices by the end of it..
So to pay tribute to those legendary highlights, I thought it’d be perfect to draw Bean and 8ball together since they kinda ended up having quite the "love affair". I didn't know how to draw him other than as a bean so we just ended up with this:
I didn't really know what else to do other than draw Bean and 8ball hugging so I kept it simple for the background and did a pink-purple gradient to contrast the yellow bean.

Bean hasn't been around on Twitch lately but I did do a crazy art piece and probably one of the most work for an art request I've ever done since! I can't wait to share that piece when the time comes!
