Hello friends, of this beautiful community, today I found some time to create this article, about this place that has been having a lot of success in Italy lately, it is an island, it is called the island of San Biagio and it is located on the Brescian coast of the largest lake in Italy, which is Lake Garda, also known as the island of rabbits, because once there was a colony of rabbits here, below I am posting a screen of Google Maps for let you know where this place is.

I have been there before this place became very famous for tourism, this is because numerous national newspapers but also thanks to social networks, it has become famous because due to the continuous drought that is affecting Northern Italy, it is accessible on foot from the mainland.
Unfortunately we have arrived at a very low level of Lake Garda, it seems to me that it has been more than 30 years since the lake has reached this level, and this is very worrying and most likely it is caused by climate change, it has been several days since Northern Italy does not rain.
The island of San Biagio can be reached from Punta Belvedere and is practically the private property of a campsite located in that area of the coast. The island is not that big and is usually overcrowded in the summer because so many tourists spend their holidays in this campsite they practically get there by swimming or with small boats, but unfortunately due to the drought now they can get there completely on foot, and on weekends this place is overrun by the many people who want to come here for take a photo.
As you can see from the images I shared, there is this small tongue of gravel and sand that connects the mainland to the island, which is practically on the island. There is only one bar that practically works in the summer, and there are some benches and tables where you can have a picnic.
As I told you at the beginning of the post, it is also called the rabbit island, because at one point it was full of these little rabbits, but then in recent years most of them have disappeared, and to tell the truth, we don't know the reason, perhaps the fact that it has lost that naturalness of the past, because of the human being, so many have fled.
