Hi friends, how are you today? I'm sure you're in good health and fine.

The beautiful afternoon weather and the sun that was not so hot made me want to go to perform the Asar Prayer in congregation in a mosque that is very thick with history. History, customs and culture are never separated from the existence of a country, especially in the land of rencong Naggroe Aceh Darussalam, a country with a diverse history and so many scattered throughout the country.

On this occasion I would like to invite my friends to see and explore a very historic mosque in the area where I live. This wooden mosque, whose building is identical with history, stands right beside Jl Banda-Aceh-Medan which is located in Beuracan Mereudu village, Pidie Jaya.

The name of this mosque is the Teungku Mosque in Pucok Krueng, this mosque was built in 1622 AD to coincide with the reign of Sultan Iskandar Muda, because the place is very easy to access from where we live, this afternoon I decided to perform the Asr prayer there.

The characteristic of the mosque building which has a classic nuance makes us seem to be transported back to the past, on the side of the backyard of the mosque there is also a shady tree that makes the surroundings of this mosque feel cool because it is protected from direct sunlight.

The most unique thing here is that this mosque has a sacred jar whose water never decreases when it is drunk. This jar is located right next to the entrance to the mosque, according to the local people's belief, the water in this jar can cure all kinds of diseases and also be a bright (smart) medicine for anyone who drinks it.

That's why this mosque is also often called the "Guci Beuracan Mosque". In addition to the outside area, the inside of the mosque is also very clean and very well maintained. This is one of the ancestral heritage of the Acehnese for their grandchildren who are still standing strong until now. For friends who want to visit this mosque, please click the location link here Beuracan mosque location.
