Yes ooo, Is me @okere-blessing in my farm. In my country Nigeria this is the season for farming .Having seen how garri which is our main Nigerian food is now costly in the market i decided to use my land to plant so that by this time next year i will have enough garri and other farm produce.

Here are the steps we take before planting.

cutting the steam

The first step is to cut down some trees ,grass and other things in the bush, allow it for 4-5 days to dry depending how the sun is shining sometimes after clearing the bush it takes seven days for the bush to be dry then it will be burn. That's setting fire in the already cleared bush. The purpose of setting fire is to help kill some terminates and other parasites that could be harmful the the corps.

Benefits of planting

  • It saves cost. Just like now that food stuff are expensive if someone has farm is just to harvest and use to save and cut some cost of buying food stuffs in the market.

  • farming provides income. If the farm produce is excess the farmer can sell some and have money.

  • It helps to control soil erosion .

  • Is part of exercise that helps our muscles to be strong.

I was happy to supervise and helped out in my farm so that the workers will finish on time.

CONCLUSION

The situation around me has made me to know the importance of farming . I encourage people to engage in farming it is very good. @ripono630.
