Friends of stemian lovers, In this post I want to share posts about visits to museums in my village. This museum is not far from my village, so I can easily reach it by motorbike. Maybe for us the people of North Aceh, the city of Lhokseumawe and its surroundings already know about the existence of the Samudera Pasai museum. In fact, maybe many of us have visited it and often visit it.

The museum, which is located in the middle of the city on the north coast of Aceh, has become a new historical tourist spot for the people of Aceh, especially for residents of North Aceh and Lhokseumawe. This museum is located on Jalan Malikussaleh, Beuringen Village, Ocean District, North Aceh Regency. The museum, which was inaugurated on July 9, 2019, has become a historical tourist spot that is a symbol of the Malikussaleh kingdom. This museum was also built close to the tomb of the sultan Malikussaleh who was the ruler (king) of the Samudera Pasai kingdom.

If we look, this building has an architectural style that resembles a magnificent mosque because there is a beautiful dome that makes it an attraction for visitors. This museum was built to remind us of the history of how the oceanic kingdom of Pasai was in ancient times. Maybe many of us Acehnese already know how the history of the early formation of the Samudera Pasai kingdom was. And this kingdom is also the early history of the entry of Islam in the Aceh region.

By building this museum, we hope that the public can know more about the history of Islam and know about our identity in the past. This museum can also be a very useful educational place for students, such as my son who has gone to this place to see the history of the past. Here they can know about the history of the Malikussaleh kingdom in the Samudera Pasai and can see firsthand the items that are the relics of the Samudera Pasai kingdom. Usually every day there are visitors who come to see firsthand the shape of the Samudera Pasai museum building.

However, unfortunately because we visited in the afternoon, the museum is no longer open to see inside the building. Visitors will usually be crowded, especially on certain days such as holidays. Visitors who come usually capture the moment by taking selfies, including what we did that day. In the early days of its inauguration, this place was often used as a location for brides to do pra-wedding photos.

For visitors who want to see first hand historical heritage objects, they can visit on certain days, it is recommended to visit early. According to information, the museum is opened three times a week, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday until 17.00 WIB. There are many historical objects that are stored in this museum, as educational documents for visitors. The object was included after it was inaugurated in 2019, all historical objects related to the Samudera Pasai Kingdom were included in the Samudera Pasai Museum.

There are various objects such as swords, dirhams, coins, saga books of the Malikussaleh kingdom, books, and even the ruins of the previous Malikussaleh kingdom buildings that we can see directly in this Samudera Pasai museum. Although some are replicas. Not only these objects, but there are many other historical objects of the Samudera Pasai Islamic kingdom that are neatly stored there. There are also various reading books that give us knowledge.

So, I invite you to visit this museum and learn about the history of the past. We all need to learn many things from the past that can give us experiences and life lessons. Even though I only visited in the afternoon, my son was happy because he could walk around this building. I hope that later I can enter this building and be able to share the photos that are in this museum building.
