Introduction
Dear @steemitblog, I write to apply for booming support for the Month of July 2022 on behalf of SteemAlive community. This is in response to the invitation extended by the Steemit to interested communities to apply for this support program. I believe that we fully deserve to have this support given our community history, projects and current standing on the Steemit platform. Here is why we should be given another chance to receive booming support.
Meet our Community - SteemAlive
The name of our community is SteemALive. We have been in existence since July 12th, 2020. Our community curation account is @steemalive. We have 1 admin and 4 moderators. All in the leadership board have remained active and never powered down in the last 3 months. Below is our leadership structure:

Community Keys
@focusnow has all the keys of the community, and they have been properly backed up offline. Some mods like @samuel20 and @marajah that work closely with the admin and live in the same city have access to the posting key for important community functions. This arrangement has ensured safety of the community account and a smooth running of operations in the community.
Purpose of SteemAlive Community
SteemALive community is the first Nigerian community that has served as a gateway to majority of Nigerians currently active on the platform. We are 100% into Steem promotion. As a promotion community, we our roadmap stated that we will take Steemit to every doorstep utilizing all methods of creating awareness. We have lived up to our Mission, which is why we have produced stellar users on the platform till date. Click here to read more about us.

Fighting Plagiarism and Abuse
There are many ways we make sure that our community is plagiarism free and users do not abuse the platform. They are as follows:
Education: This is the most effective tool that has helped us fight abuse. We run mentorship classes regularly - most times weekly. Plagiarism and abuse is always a regular topic. We help newbies to understand that plagiarism is not tolerated and often harshly dealt with. We try to build a healthy fear of breaking laws into the mind of our members from day 1. This ensured that everyone is careful in order not to be banned.
Effective Promotion: Since we recruit newbies, one thing our promoters do is to also extend our education to newbies, informing them of the strict do's and dont's. So such repetitive awareness of created from before newbies join the platform help them understand that there are things they shouldnt attempt even once,
Quick and complete checking of articles by Mods: Our moderators do their job on time. They understand that checking for plagiarized text and images is a priority. They have muted many posts found to contain plagiarized content. We have at least detected a double account in the last 2 months - although this is rare in our community. All mods understand how to use plagiarism and article spinning tools to ensure that only original content is allowed to exist in the community.
These are ways we fight plagiarism and abuse.
Why Choose SteemALive
1. Because we have a history of progress: Some communities that started same time as us in 2020 have gone down and disappeared. But because we have a robust team, great vision, and an impressive recruitment/retention strategy, we continue to do well. We have played and continues to play a big role in Steem development in Nigeria. Most of the big names on Steemit from Nigeria, have their roots here. Progress is our culture.
2. Because we have built a community with solid support structure: With more than 70k SP, we continue to support our members and users from Nigeria. Interestingly, we own more than 50% of our SP. In fact we are heading to Orca.
3. Because we love powering up: Of all the communities that are active on Steemit presently, SteemAlive is probably the first or among the first communities that has powered up in excess of 10,000 Steem so far in 2022 (January - July). Is that not amazing?
Conclusion
We thank the Steemit team for supporting SteemAlive from day one. We remain humbled by the little contribution we have done to support Steem Growth. We have plans and projects designed to take us to the next level. Being selected for the next phase of booming support will help us immensely to achieve bigger milestones.
