Halloween and it's Background
The meaning of Halloween is the arrival of all hallows or the contraction of hallows. Halloween is actually a festival which is celebrated each year at 31 October. It is celebrated at the evening time. It belongs to the Christian traditions and to the old Celtic culture. That day is the famous holiday in the specific regions which celebrate it.
In the Christianity it is considered that at 1st November it starts All Saints day. So before the start of this day there is Halloween evening on the 31st of October. The Celts believe that on this day the wall between the livings and the dead. And they believe that the spirits can walk to the earth. So in order to ward off the spirits they wear different costumes. On the other hand as we all know that the summer seasons ends in the October and the winter season starts after this. So at the end of the summer season it is celebrated. In this way winter season is welcome.
Different elements of Halloween
There are different ways to celebrate this Halloween day. Here are some factors which are involved in the halloween.
Costumes
In the Halloween festival costumes are the most important element. It is most famous because of wearing costumes. People of all ages like to wear different costumes. They wear costumes to look like ghosts, monsters, super heros and other characters. Some of them wear vampire-like costumes even witches to contemporary pop culture design. By wearing these costumes people look very astonishing and amazing. People curiosly wait for this event to wear the costumes and enjoy these outfits with their family as well as with their friends.
Trick or treat
It is actually like a game and it is the very interesting game which has twists. It increases the enjoyment of this event to another level. In this game children go house to house and they say trick or treat and in this way they collect edible things like candies and other gifts as well.
Decorations
As decorations are the important factor of each event and celebrations. So in this event celebrations are also involved. People decorate their homes with the awkward spirits and spooky themes. People use pumpkins for the decorations designed in a monster like shape. They also use skulls and skeletons for the decoration purposes.
Halloween Parties
Parties in each event are must. So guys in this event people arrange different halloween parties. Some people host them and the others attend them by making it more enjoyable and entertaining. These are the special parties and those who are going to join these parties must follow the party rules. Mostly every participant must wear a costume which can represent that it's Halloween.
Haunted Houses
These are the specially designed houses to represent the Halloween. These houses are made horrible and with some spooky themes. These are made to scare the visitors and to entertain them. Sometimes there are some surprises for each visitor when someone passes through these houses then the skeletons or other scary things are displayed automatically. It is very enjoyable and entertaining with a lot of scaring things.
Scary Movies
While decorating the homes scary as well as making haunted houses scary movies are also the part of the Halloween. People arranged horror and scary movies specially for this day. So it is another part of the entertainment at Halloween.
Festive Foods
According to the nature of this festival there are some special festive foods for the Halloween. There are special Halloween treats and parties. Candy, apples, caramel corn are the most enjoyed foods this day.All age people
This the attractive thing which makes Halloween more fascinating and special. People of all age can participate in this event. Everyone is allowed to show their fun abilities. Everyone tries to add fun into the event by participating in it. Old people tell different stories to children. They tell them interesting and horrible stories. The children listen to them and enjoy them. They listen to these horror stories with full attention and concentration. Some children are afraid of listening about the monsters and vampires. In this way they amuse the children.

Nowadays this festival has become very famous. It is now celebrated in different ways. The day of celebration of Halloween for this year is ahead. As it is October and it is ending in the next few days. As it will be ending the festival will be celebrated.
