Hello dear ladies, It is another time for me to make my wonderful choice and give reason for doing so
Personally, my choice for this week is Helmet. I know many would be surprised by my choice, but as I write about it, you will understand why I made the choice.
What is a helmet?
In the medieval time, a helmet is an equipment normally worn by battle ready soldiers to protect their head from unsuspected missiles or injury from their enemies .
So it is an equipment made of hard or strong material to protect the head from injury. The outside is made of impact resistance material while the inside is filled with foam, to be comfortable to its wearer.
Some of the helmets are circular, some cover the entire face of the wearer, some.covwr half the face, others are modular in nature.
Benefits of Using Helmet
Helmet is worn on the head and with the description that I have given, we already have an insight into it s importance and benefits.
° Putting on a helmet can save our live. We all know that the head is the centre of the nervous system and very fragile too. Any forceful impact on it can lead to instant death, brain damages and some.other head debilitating illness. This protecting our head is like protecting our lives.
° It protects the head from serious injuries. This it does by absorbing the the energy of the impact.
° Wearing a helmet helps to increase the users visibility on the road. Since it is bigger than our head, road users can easily spot is even from far distances, hence giving us additional protection.
° It saves the user from pains he would have experience from sustaining injury as well as the discomfort the family would have experienced from taking care.od the injured person.
° The family would have more money to spend on other important matters than spending it on hospital bill payment.
° Helmets with face Shields help to protect the face from flying insects, especially for bikers.
° it protects us when riding under rain and from sun burns.
° it helps to safeguard us our eyes from dust and moving air.
What do I think about Helmet?
It is very important to wear helmet as we carry out our various activities for the day, especially those that requires its usage.
When do we need to wear helmets? Many of us ride on motor bikes and bicycles, it is important we wear it anytime we are riding.
There are also some games that we may play. It would not be out of place to also put them on. Activities like horse riding, rock climbing, Jockeys, etc.
Those serving in the military should not even be reminded to put it on even when they seem to be resting or not at the battle field provided they are not at home.
It is a safety wear for engineers and other workers at construction sites, to protect their head from falling objects that may cause death or lead to serious injuries.

For me it is as important as any safety measure taken in other spheres of life, hence should be given utmost attention.
Little children learning to ride bicycles should be geared up well with protective equipment so as not to hurt themselves.
Those who do not use it are encouraged by this writeup never to me look down on it, rather start making use of it.
Conclusion
Life is a gift from God. One way we show respect or reverence for The One who gave it is to do all we can within our possible best to protect it. Wearing helmet is one way we do this.
