Hello everyone, good morning to you all. Hope you all had an amazing night rest? Welcome back to my blog. In today's contest, I will be teaching you guys how to prepare Jollof rice. Rice is a stachy grain crop which is grown in different parts of the World. It is a good source of Carbohydrate. It can be prepared in several ways like Jollof, coconut, fried e.t.c. It can equally be prepared white and eaten with stew or sauce. Jollof rice is king of foods in every Nigeria party. Infact, there is no Nigerian party without Jollof rice. They're various method of preparing Jollof rice, but I will take you guys through my own steps. Let me start with listing the ingredients.

Ingredients

Rice

Fresh tomato

Groundnut oil

Curry powder

Procedure
Wash your rice and set it aside.

Add water to the cooking pot and parboil the rice for 10 to 15 minutes.

After parboiling the rice, wash it and put it in a clean sieve to drain the water.

Slice your onions and pepper and set aside.

Wash, slice and blend your tomatoes. I blended mine with the aid of mortar and pestle.

Mix the processed sachet tomato with the blended fresh tomato.

Add groundnut oil to the pot.

Add the sliced onions and pepper to the pot, fry it until it looks crystal.

Add the tomatoes to the Pot and fry it for a while.

Add crayfish, fresh pepper seasoning cubes, salt and curry powder to the pot.

Add enough water to cook the rice to the pot.

Allow the water to boil.

Add the rice to the pot.

After adding the rice to the pot, stir it well and allow it to cook.

Lower the heat so the food don't get burn.

When the food is done, stir it and turn off the heat

Your delicious Jollof rice is ready.
