Potatoes can be cooked in a variety of ways. They can be boiled, mashed, roasted, fried, or made into stews and soups. The potato’s ability to absorb flavors also makes it an ideal ingredient in soups and curries. Potatoes play an important role in agriculture due to their long shelf life, which reduces food waste and provides economic benefits to both farmers and consumers.

These starchy tubers, which originated in South America, have become a global staple food. Potatoes are a versatile vegetable that is used in almost every kitchen around the world.
