Hi I am @cephasmbah writing in this contest "How is Labor Day celebrated in your country" sponsored by @ripon0630 in the Steem for Bangladesh Community. What a nice contest, as I also take participation today, here and now.
In various country all over the world this day is special as it is the first day of May and also an International Workers' Day all over. Like in my country Nigeria where I am from, the government makes it special for us by allowing us to rest this day and not to go to work also.
I would be using the following contest tips below in discussing this special and how it is being practice here in my country.
How is Labour Day celebrated in your country?
Indeed, this day is special as it is a public holiday in my country, Nigeria. There is freedom given to workers on that day but not all the workers I think because all those in the private companies and schools do go to school or their various works on that day, but rest is given to the government workers.
Also, businessman and women goes about their various businesses on this special day.
Are workers in your country getting fair wages? How's their life?
Workers in my country are not getting fair wages except for those in the high position, these things have been happening as the workers have no choices as there are not many jobs in the country. The life's of workers here in Nigeria depends on God because they do go through a lot as to collect a penny at the end of the month.
So many are on loan just to meet up their family needs as the money been given to them is not even enough to carter their needs for them and for their kids. Sometimes they are even owed in their salary by their employer's.
Are there any special events organized in your community on the occasion of Labor Day? Do you attend them?
Here everyone is on their own it's just a holiday given and no celebration maybe other people who are at the top might celebrate, but I wouldn't know as it isn't generalized to the public. So I wouldn't attend anything on this day as there are no special events given, only if it's for a private occasion I would be going on the day.

I would love workers to be honored as without these group of person's there wouldn't be a great nation of any country, also it would do workers real good if their wages are good.
