SEC-S10W1: "What one thing would you want to delete from the earth?

Hello friends, this is my third entry for the week and I hope to make more entries before the expiry date. We have needs and wants as well as desires as we continue to journey on earth. In all of this, we do not things to always go our way. Some are natural and others are man-made, but in all, we should be proactive to know how to handle and make alternatives. Let's get started...

If I am given the opportunity to delete one thing in the world that would be from one of the man-made inventions that has brought more harm. An invention that countries run to at every slightest provocation, an invention that when it enters the hands of the wrong people, innocent people suffer from its use.

I would like to delete the use of Weapons ( Guns, Missles, Bomps, jet fighters, etc)

Weapons are usually used during confrontations, disagreements, invasions, war areas, etc. They have reckless violations of this singular use of man's invention and several lives have been lost to this.

The use of weapons over time has brought devastation to the world. I believe it had brought about concerns of more insecurity than security which it was initially created for. The first use of a nuclear weapon in Japan, we all know the storyline. It has not been a good story as we continue to read from the abuses it created in society subsequently.

The recent violations where children are murdered in neighborhoods because of cases of disturbance clearly show the disadvantage this singular invented tool has brought about. The level of gun control abuses witnessed in the Western and American states has continued to be something we are already weary of.

Can we also imagine the devastation seen by Russia's invasion of Ukrainian sovereignty? This is unimaginable and simply a case of a show of force to exhibit supremacy status over the other. The wanton destruction of properties and human lives despite the sanctions shows that we are in the wrong state...

The absence of weapons and all that concerns it would bring the following.

Peaceful Coexistence:

Most countries and individuals have resorted to the use of weapons as a better way of revenge and getting back to their violations rather than a peaceful approach. This does not solve any problem in a society where an eye for an eye is seen as a way out. This only makes everyone blind.

Resorting to peaceful approaches, negotiation and other better means of reaching out should be our way of life. Vengeance and oppression through superior firearms do not bring solutions but oppression. The oppressed over time prepares for the future with intentions of possible retaliation.

Therefore a complete absence of weapons would bring about the relative peace that society and the world at large needed.

Less Interrupted Societal Growth:

A war zone or society cannot reach its full potential. It however brings about retarded or stunted growth in society. It is only a peaceful society that thinks in a manner of growth unlike a country or an individual on a war front.

Societies can now grow with a mostly less interrupted growth pattern that places the country on the path of growth. All short, medium, and long-term growth patterns are achieved in an atmosphere void of violence and invasion.

Let's imagine the situation in Ukraine and its likelihood of advancing its growth potential. There are wanton economic losses and growth patterns already initiated or planned for introduction.

Reduced Destruction of Properties and Lives:

The number of lives and properties lost in violent or war-prone areas is quantifiable. It is so high that hundreds and thousands of dollars a required to bring them back to their former state. What about the lives lost, life lost cannot be recovered and hence many families are displaced, more orphans are created and widows are on the increase.

The absence of weapons will not only reduce war-like scenarios but will reduce the destruction of properties and lives as we know it. The Ukrainian invasion is an example of properties wasted and lives lost. This has continued unabated even with the sanctions on their invader.

I believe the absence of weapons of any kind would bring about a more thoughtful approach to dealing with issues which would be non-violence

No Advancement into Weaponry Production:

There has been advancement in the production and invention of weaponry over time. This is because of the purpose for which it serves or intends to serve. Over time, there have been productions like weapons of mass destruction, and other atomic and nuclear weapons.

The absence or deletion of this particular weapon in use on earth would bring about less fear and confidence that no one would be taken laws into their hands with access to such a tool.

Some countries that produce and advance the course of weapon production would go out of the market if weapons are deleted from the world. Hence this means no research work or technological breakthrough for weapon advancement.

Weapons may have no direct substitute but in place of it, every other thing that guarantees settlement instead of violence is its substitute.

We have to be peaceful and show this in all we do. Violence does not solve problems but rather brings about suppression oppression and the maiming of one another. But rather, a peaceful society guarantees a seamless coexistence and growth among people and countries.

We have to Love one another. We cannot genuinely show acts of affection to our neighbors and still want to invade them. Giving the olive leaf or branch should always be our first and last action other than using weaponry.

There should be active regulations should incase the listed two do not hold. Instead of the use of weapons, people or countries should be disciplined or sanctioned to correct their excess or violations. This would go a long way to reduce tensions and use of weapons instead.

In conclusion, the use of weapons on Earth has brought so much destruction amongst it. Individuals intimidate one another using it, countries now use them to show strength. It has received much advancement as more deadly missiles and nukes are now used. Peace, Love, Negotiations, and sanctions remain the way to go other than the flagrant use of it.
