It's a refreshing thing to be among steemians today and share my contests entry of a contest organized by sir/ma @msharif in the Steem for Bangladesh community.
According to sir/ma @msharif, We all have some favorite countries except mine. Today I have organized this contest with you so that you can write about your favorite country.
There is no doubt that almost everyone in the globe admires a country that is not theirs because of a particular reason or two. However, due to the fact that they can't afford to travel to that country, they just stay back and keep on admiring the country.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE COUNTRY AND WHY IS THIS COUNTRY YOUR FAVORITE?
I've not thought of this before because I really love my country - Nigeria, irrespective of it's great flaws of the people. However, now that the question have been asked, I'll say that my favourite country is Canada. I've not been here before but I've seen it on TV and ads. I love this country because of the beautiful scenes and it's people. Irrespective of the fact that I'm a kind of scared of racism, I still admire and love the people in this place.
BRIEFLY DISCUSS THE SIMILARITIES AND DIFFERENCES BETWEEN YOUR COUNTRY AND THIS COUNTRY.
Well, the similarities about both countries is because they practice the same type of government which is Democracy. Both countries have great views but Nigeria's beauty comes mainly from nature and a little but of development while Canada's beauty comes from development and a little bit of nature.
In terms of corruption, Lol, my country is best compared to Canada. No hiding it, the ongoing elections in Nigeria has already exposed the ability of Nigeria when it comes to corruption.
Another Difference between both countries is their cultural practices. Nigeria practice ancient culture irrespective of the fact that we have embraced Christianity but Canada, they practice Christianity (i don't really know about their cultural practices though).
BRIEFLY DESCRIBE THE NATURAL BEAUTY OF THE COUNTRY.
Canada is well known for protecting nature and it has about 39 national parks in the country with countless of other parks.
It's Natural features are landscapes which includes wetlands, plains, coastlines, cliffs, mountains and rivers
BRIEFLY DISCUSS THE MAIN THEMES OF THE COUNTRY'S DEVELOPMENT.
One thing about Canada is that it supports the international struggles in promoting economic as well as human development, and reduce if not eradicate poverty.
There is no doubt that Canada is a wealthy country because it has a strong economy and a greater part of this economy is dependent on mining natural resources which includes zinc, nickel, copper and gold.
Canada is no doubt a very beautiful country, having a ver good natural view as well as a strong economy with a reduced corruption and poverty rate unlike my country Nigeria. I will love to visit the country or if possible, live among them.
