"A tree cannot make a forest", is one the most famous saying showing the importance and beauty of teamwork, and another saying goes this way "Two heads are better than one." Means what a group of persons can achieve together is far better than what one can achieve alone. Teamwork brings about creativity, unity, efficiency, productivity, and happiness in a working environment. In this article I will write the meaning of teamwork, its importance, and its drawbacks.

What Does The Phrase "Teamwork Makes the Dream Work" Mean To You?

Teamwork is the combinative effort of a group of workers or people to achieve a common goal, most effectively and efficiently. The above phrase "Teamwork makes a dream work" to me means that working well together brings about desired goals, motivation, collaboration, creativity, a sense of unity, productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness in a working environment, it makes work enjoyable.

An effective and efficient team will utilize their different talents and skills and work together to realize the set goal in a short period, and this will definitely increase an organization's productivity and profitability!

Yes I have many experiences being involved in team-based work, but I will share only one today, it was during my universities days, in my first semester, the first year I used to read alone, though I made high grades I can't compare my performance with the time I formed a reading group. All of us have a particular course we're very good at, so each person will teach others his/her course, we will even set exams questions for ourselves in advance and out of 10 questions we normally predict at least 4 used to come out, at the end of school year we usually passed with flying colours and we graduated as best students of the year! This can be attributed to teamwork.

What Obstacles Did You Face In Working As A Team?
Each team member has different background and personality. Strategizing ways to incorporate them to complete a particular project can be tasking. Also, group members may have different working styles, for example, some can brainstorm and work independently and will feel pressure when collaboration comes up, while others brainstorming in a group can boost their energy levels.

I like working smartly so I used to find it a bit challenging if I'm paired with slow workers, especially if the person doesn't allow those who can work independently to handle difficult parts of the project, I find it a bit struggling to work together.

Is It Possible That A Person Can Achieve More By Engaging In Teamwork Than Individually? Explain.

Well, it depends, there's a saying if you want to walk faster then walk alone but if you want to go farther walk in a group." A person might achieve more working alone if he or she is to handle a small short-time project which demanded focus. But on the other hand, if it's a long-term big project which is tasking, he will need other professionals to achieve the desired goal, recalled two heads are better than one.
