Assalamualaikum to all my community members
How are you all? I am really tired of this bitter winter. What about you? We had an official get together yesterday evening. It was beautifully decorated with lights. You can see in the picture what beautiful flowers of light are blooming. Our get together was called "B Q Night".
There were various types of pithas as snacks. Chitai pitha with various vartas, Patisapata, Vapa pitha. Coffee was also provided. On one side of the field was the open stage. Those who want can perform poems and songs. We enjoyed some beautiful performances. It was very cold, we were freezing. The little children were playing and running all around. Their joy was palpable.
Campfire was fired for the cold but it did not reduce the cold in any way. It was great to have the campus crew together after quite some time. It was time for dinner.
We all went to eat. We were kidding that it was taking some time to refill the food. Some said they will make us diet, so they are not giving food. Someone said that they were giving me carb free food. Dinner consisted of Beef Rezala, Roast Duck, Grilled Chicken, Thick Masala Dal, Parata, and Chit Roti. Dessert had khirsa, though it looked like curd. But they are really delicious.
There was a photo corner for taking pictures. There was a separate photo corner for children. It was decorated with demi figures of Elsa and Spider-Man. The elders' corner was decorated with flowers.
We took some pretty cool pictures. Although it was very cold, everyone was enjoying themselves. Even after dinner we were talking for a while. We did not realize when it was ten o'clock at night. We have our officers' picnic ahead and we leave for each other's homes with the assurance that we will see everyone again. I came back home with some very nice happy memories.
