📢 Contest - Save Youth from Drug Addiction

I hope everyone is doing well. I'm good too and doing well in my life.I'm @isha-rehman from Pakistan 🇵🇰 and today I'm going to participate in contest organized in steem for Bangladesh by @ripon0630 , the title of contest is 📢 Contest - Save Youth from Drug Addiction. I'm would like to say thanks fro organizing such contest that focuses on youth problems.

Addiction is a dependence on substances or behaviors or on anything that results in ongoing desires and negative outcomes. It Subvert brain's circuitry which has an impact on reasoning, decision-making & emotional control.

✅ What do you think are the main reasons for youth to become addicted to drugs?

Drug addiction is a chronic and compulsive illness in which he or she becomes dependent on drugs and has a strong need to consume them even thoughhaving so negative effects. It change the motivational systems of the brain, making quitting challenging. A successful rehabilitation depends on the professional involvement,such as counseling, therapy & support groups. To encourage long-term abstinence and general wellbeing, it is essential to address the psychological,social & physical elements of the addiction.
Here I'm going to through light on some important points that are responsible for drug addiction in youth:

• lack of education is one of the most common factor that provide route to drug addiction.
• living in society where consuming drugs are considered normal.
• lack of awareness among youth about the negative impacts of drug on health.
• family conflicts sometimes drags youth towards drug addiction.
• Loneliness is also a factor behind drug addiction.
• sometimes youth can't handle the ups and downs of life so in order to escape from problems they start using drugs for peace.
• depression and anxiety is also responsible for drug addiction.
• when parents are not able to moniter their childs. When parents are not giving proper time and care to their child's.
• financial needs drags youth towards drug consumption .when they smuggle drugs for money and also start consuming by their selves.

✅ What is the extent of drug addiction in your society? Do you think it's important to prevent drug addiction among youth?

I'm from Pakistan and being from Muslim and Islamic country we do consider the importance of Halal and Haram.Drugs are considered ha ram in Muslim society so I think the ratio of drug consumption in Pakistan is very less as compared to European countries, but still our society is not completely clean from drugs. But our government is trying all their best to clean our society from drugs and keep away our youth from drug addiction.

According to me its very important to keep away our youth from drugs ,because youth is the future of every country and if we want to become successful In race of world we have to keep our dedicated, and away from everything that destroys their future.Drugs eat the person's health mentally and physically.so I think government must take serious actions to stop drug addiction among youth.

✅ How can you encourage them to make healthy choices and what steps do you think would be effective to save them?

As it is very complicated problem so we need really mindful and healthy choices to save our youth. First we should educate our youth about the hazards of drugs addiction. We should promote awareness among youth and parents.Government need to enforce law to prevent drugs smuggling and consumption.Rehabilitation centres need to be established to educate and help youth. They should be treated kindly not angrily. Parents need to focus and support their children to overcome life challenges and problems. Parents need to develop a strong and healthy bond with their children so they will never hesitate to share something with their parents. As a responsible citizens of our country We should join hands together to save our youth from this dirt.
