A delicious rustic dish Amara Tok-Jhal Curry

Starting with greetings and respect. I am @jebanikajeba, the recipe I am sharing with you today is almost cooked at home during Amara season in our village.

Amara is a juicy, sour and delicious fruit. Amara is eaten raw as well as cooked as delicious pickle, chutney, jelly and curry. In my house I often cook Tok-Jhal with Amara. I learned to cook Amara Tok-Jhal from my mother-in-law. Today I am sharing with you the recipe that you will cook because it is a delicious and healthy dish. Ingredients we need to cook Amara Tok-Jhal.

Cooking Ingredients :

Ingredients: Quality
Amara 5-6 pcs
Shrimp 100 gram
Chopped onion 2 medium size
Chopped garlic 1 medium size
Chopped green chillies 4-5 pcs
Turmeric powder 1 tbsp
Chili powder 1 tbsp
Soyabean oil 3 tbsp
cumin 1/2 tbsp
Salt as per taste
Cooking Recipe :

Step-1:
Peel the Amara and cut it into pieces and prepare all the ingredients. I did the whole cooking in the clay oven.

Step-2:
First, place the pan on the stove and when the pan is hot, add 2 tablespoons of soybean oil. Add the chopped garlic, onions, and green chillies to the heated oil. Then onions, garlic, and green chilies are lightly fried, then add the shrimps and fry a little more. Then add turmeric powder, chilli powder and salt to taste one by one. Fry the spices for 3/4 minutes.

Step-3:
When the oil comes out from the masalas, cover it for a while with the chopped Amara pieces. Then fried the Amaras with masala for 4/5 minutes and add water and cover with a lid so that the boiled is well. After 8 minutes, when the Amaras are cooked, take them down and boil the cumin seeds.

Step-4:
Amara Tok- Jhal should keep a little more broth. If one doesn't like cumin seeds then it can be omitted. This Tok-jhal can also be cooked with small puti fish along with Amara. I eat a little more rice on the day we cook Tok-Jhal. You will also cook and eat it, I hope you will like it too.

There are some benefits of eating Amara such as:

On days when the weather is very hot and the body feels dehydrate due to profuse sweating, cook Amara Tok-jhal and eat it. By playing it, the body's mobility will decrease.
