Contest- What is your opinion on whether charity should be done publicly or secretly?||by @jollymonoara||

Assalamu Allaikum

Here, I am @jollymonoara and Bangladeshi.

Hello everyone,

How are you all, I hope everyone is fine. As the month of Ramadan has begun, I pray that everyone spends Ramadhanul Kareem healthy and strong. Admin of this community @ripon0630 has organized a nice contest in this holy month of Ramadan. I also thank @sadiaafreen and @ismotara . The topic of this contest is a very good topic - Charity.

The best quality of people in the world is to give something to someone selflessly. Charity is of great quality. Charity is the sign of love between God and man. Everyone likes a generous person. Many people in our society are helping needy people by donating some part of their monthly and annual earnings. If this great work is done, the property in my country will be reduced.

We will get to know more details about the charity among the answers to the questions of this contest.

  • 1.What is your opinion on whether charity should be done publicly or secretly?

Generosity is one of the great human qualities. These noble qualities are not about pleasing anyone or showing off. It has to be donated selflessly from one's conscience, intelligence, and mind.

My opinion is that this great work should be done in secret, not in public.

Charity is generosity, that is, giving money or anything they need selflessly out of their own free will to needy people or others.

A real charitable person donates secretly and after donating don't expect anything in return from them and don't tell anyone that I have donated so much money to that person. And this is a good charity. But there are many rich people in our society who just take photos and videos for publicity and donate them to various places like mosques, madrasas, poor and poor.

There are many rich people who are too stingy to donate money to the poor. If you have money, you can't donate, you have to have a good mentality to donate.

Allah Himself said, Spend what is better than what you earn and what Allah produces for you. Finally, I want to say that I will donate secretly, for any publicity, not to please others.

We can publicly donate to any charity organization without any publicity. We can donate in two ways. But don't expect anything in return. Many people in the world have taken this initiative and they have been successful. Like as-

Kofi Anan(Global AIDS founder)
Marianne Cope(Charitable virtuous deeds),
and Mother Teresa(Missionaries of Charity founded).

  • 2. Why do you think that this way of doing charity should be adopted?

Allah says give Zakat. As a Muslim, I am asked to give some part of my annual income to near or far relatives or poor people. That is why we donate money to relatives or needy people every year.

We donate to make Allah happy, the poor are happy and Allah is happy. I donate whatever money and wealth I have to those who need it, my near relatives, far away, and the poor. I think it is my duty.

When I see someone close to me living in hardship due to lack of money, I am ashamed to tell anyone that I need money. If I secretly help him with money, I will not suffer any harm. Rather, that person benefited a lot. As happy as he was to get money, I could be even happier by giving him money. Because I have done a great job.

And when I see my neighbor is suffering, if I don't help him even though I know, where has my humanity gone? I can help him with some money.

When we go out on the street, we see many poor people who reach out to us to give us something. I don't return him empty-handed, if I can't do much, I give him some money to meet his current needs. In this way, if we tolerate the poor and suffering little by little, then at least the lack of needy people will be removed.

I think this way of giving should exist among all. Then everyone will donate selflessly, don't donate to get publicity. But we have learned to give charity through giving zakat. So if every year we help some family with a certain amount then maybe he will adopt a way to earn his daily income.

  • 3. Is there any benefit or social impact to charity in this way?

I think if we donate selflessly, we will benefit a lot and have an impact on society.
I can't help everyone alone, I can donate a certain amount of money to those around me. In this way, we can all donate money to the people close to us. By doing this, the lack of the needy will be removed.

Every religion says to feed the hungry, clothe the homeless, shelter the homeless, and help those in danger. These are people's love for people. Because we have this love, we don't hesitate to donate to people. In this way, sometimes the help or donation is given at the individual level, sometimes at the social institutional level. Public or private charity organizations are established, where a fixed amount of money is reserved for needy, helpless, orphans. We can also help people through this institution.

There are some organizations that transport dead bodies free of charge, bear all the expenses of various orphanages, and help the poor. Apart from this, a lot of donations come to these charity institutions from foreign countries. That's why now the needy do not have to go door to door. As a result of charity, the property will be removed from the country and the country will continue to develop.

That's why the charity has so much social and economic impact.

  • 4. Who should be prioritized for charity?

Charity should, first of all, be given preference to those who are destitute and cannot ask for help from their near relatives,
A distant relative,
Orphans who have no one in the world deserve charity,
In various Madrasahs and Orphanages, where children of many poor people live who cannot study due to lack of money. Gives to Madrasahs or Orphanages,
Poor people,
Also as relief material in various weather disaster areas,
Besides, those who cannot do treatment due to lack of money,
Elderly people have no one to help them.

Finally, I will say that because of this charity, the poor are getting a lot of benefits in society, orphans live on food, and no one dies without treatment. Organizations in our country like Anjuman Mofidul Islam where we can give our donations, and UNICEF foreign organizations are working tirelessly to provide life-saving help to needy children and families. Somewhere someone lends a helping hand.

I believe that if you spend a penny in the way of Allah, you will get double it in return. So in this month of Ramadan, we will donate more and please Allah. Now is the perfect time to donate.

Thank you very much
