If you had the power to permanently delete one thing from the earth, what would it be and why? |

If I had the power to permanently delete one thing from the earth, it would be "greed." A lot of people are suffering because of the greedy ones' influence. Greed is simply a selfish desire for a person to keep on collecting more than what he or she deserves or needs, especially wealth, money, possessions, and so on.

Greed is the cause of every problem we are facing today in the world, be it corruption, war, hunger, poverty, jealousy, theft, and many others. Greed is what has driven people in the world to keep on acquiring the wealth of other people.
The reason why I will permanently delete greed is for everyone to have a better life than greed has caused us to have. You can imagine someone who is already wealthy keeping on stealing from the poor, collecting from people, and depriving others of what they have so he or she can have more, all because of greed.
Greed can make a person sell his own brother and sister in order to acquire more, which is very bad. Finally, the reason why I want to permanently delete greed is for the crime rate to stop in our society, and we can see how the greediness of our politicians and those who are to represent us has caused us to suffer all because of greed.

The absence of greed will positively have an impact on society, nature, and mankind in a much more positive way than what we are facing today. Below are some of the positive impacts on society, nature, and mankind if greed is permanently deleted.
Everyone would have a better life, as what is yours would be given to you based on merit.
Wealth will be distributed to everyone accordingly.
Corruption, poverty, hunger, war, and so many other problems in our society will stop.
People will focus more on building society, nature, etc. than personal interests.
The absence of greed will make us live as one instead of in division.
The fighting and killing for wealth will stop permanently.
Love, peace, and harmony will flow in our society.
What can we substitute for it that has the power to resist all subsequent devastation? |

To resist the subsequent devastation of greed, we must have love (charity) for one another. Love is the only thing that can resist greed, because if we have love for one another, we will only think of favoring one another; we will not want to have more than others, which will make us not steal, hate, or even sell others for selfish gain.
