After the World Fair, the food gained popularity all over the world. Due to the demand and popularity, several companies came forward to make this delicious food. With expensive chocolates, ice creams or candies in the Sailab market, the value of Hawaiian sweets continues to increase. After that, this food spread in Bangladesh as well as in different countries of the world.

It has some interesting names in English, Such as cotton candy, fairy floss, candy floss or spoon sugar. In 1920, Americans named this candy 'Cotton Candy' because it looked like cotton. They are so fond of this Hawaiian candy that December 7th is celebrated as 'National Cotton Candy Day' in the US.
