Labor Day is celebrated on 1st May every year in our country. All kinds of offices and courts are closed on this day. Some labor organizations observe the day by holding marches, meetings, and seminars.
Few companies in our country pay fair wages to their workers. Most of the companies do not pay fair wages to their workers. I have discussed below what I have learned about workers' compensation due to working for a company.
The picture below is of the construction worker next to my office. Here, how many poor women work as laborers? Because they can pay them less, some of the workers' due wages will go into their pockets. I have shown it as an example. Most of the companies in our country cheat the workers in this way.
Due to the corona epidemic and the Russia-Ukraine war, the prices of goods have increased in almost all countries. It has also increased in our country. Accordingly, the salary of the workers of our country has not been raised. The workers of our country are in the most suffering since the corona epidemic. The wages of the workers have remained the same. The workers of our country are deprived of their fair dues.
The following picture is the incident of last 4/5/2023 at 4.00 pm. This is the incident at the factory next to my factory. Seven people were burnt by molten iron. Five of them have died. There have been few papers and T.V. news. These workers will never get their fair dues. They had no safety devices. You will research and see that these burned people got nothing from the company owners.
In our country, various companies such as garments do not pay the workers 2/3 month salary. They do not want to give a bonus on Eid. When the workers come to the streets to demand salary bonuses, they are harassed by law and order forces.
My company office is closed for Labor Day. But the production is running with overtime workers. I don't work on this labor day every year. In our country, some political and social organizations have organized rally meetings. The workers are not benefited from these marches and meetings. The labor laws of our country could be more assertive. So I do not participate in these marches and meetings. But I want the labor laws to be implemented.
My motivational ideas for the workers:
To encourage the workers to work, various types, like production bonuses, annual festivals, vacations, work evaluations, etc., can be organized.
Workers will be encouraged to work if paid on time.
Labor laws of the country should be followed correctly.
