I'm going to talk about a memorable experience I had today. The time was February 2, 2022. As usual today I went to the site to work. By visiting the site office and safety, I could talk to the foremen and learn about the work place. The foremen said they would be inside the airport by today. The job required two people and I was selected as a specialist that day.

Foreman Taiyeb Bhai told me that no one else can do this work except you. So you have been selected from the office. You choose who you want to go with you. So I told anyone to go with me. The regular who works with me said I will go today. So without further ado, I said to prepare the necessary tools as soon as possible. As I said, Shakib quickly got the tools ready from the store. Meanwhile the driver is waiting for us with the car. After loading the tools in the car, we sat inside the car and said to leave the car. The foreman will be late and tells us to go, we are coming later. So, as the driver foreman said, we were shifted to work place inside the airport. I went there and saw that the work is a bit difficult, I have to do the work very carefully.

I have to be very careful when working up stairs using ladders. I started working alone in the beginning before the foreman came. I started working exactly as I was told by the office. After a little work, I saw the foreman coming by car. Mahidul praised my work and said your work is fine, do it slowly and very carefully. Since I was working up the stairs, there was another person standing at the bottom of the stairs to keep my balance. I was quick to do the work because I cannot do it slowly when I start, I do it in a hurry and very carefully. The foreman likes to see the finishing of my work so he keeps me with him all the time. I finished a side job during lunch time. The driver brought the car and told us let's have lunch and come back to do the rest.

We came to the office by car, put our tools in place, washed our hands, ate and took a little rest. When the rest time was over, we drove back to the work site. Now work at a little extra height. I said this time the ladder will not work, now a mobile crane will be needed. When the foreman called me, he sent a mobile crane with a basket to the office within some time from the office for the convenience of our work. I put on my safety belt and continued to work quietly without any difficulty. When the work was finished in the evening there was only one pipe left. The foreman said take it in the car and let's keep it here in the office it will be a problem. As the foreman said, some of us started to lift the iron pipe to the car. After getting it in the car properly, I see that the front part is slightly forward.

The extra part should be folded back so that it is easy to carry in the car. The pipe rotates a little while taking it backwards. The rest got scared and left the pipe and stood away. I was working on my mind but I was standing holding the pipe thinking that I have to protect the pipe. It was not possible for me to hold the pipe alone. I let go and went to stand away but before I could the pipe came straight up and hit me on the leg. I just gave a shout. I thought my leg might be broken. I kept trying to walk but I could not put my foot down because of the excruciating pain. Already the engineer appeared there, without being informed, to see us. I came and saw that the pipe had fallen on my leg and I got a lot of pain. The engineer brought me to the office medical room in his car without delay. There they saw me and bandaged my leg with some medicine and told me to rest for a few days. My feet were too heavy for me to bear.

I came to the store room with great difficulty and sat for a long time and waited for leave. When it's vacation time, I pass out with great difficulty and come to our room by car. It was very difficult to climb the stairs when I came to the room. After coming to the room, I took a shower and lay down on my bed. I don't play anything at night. I have a high fever. An uncle from the next room came and warmed yellow oil on my feet. I didn't go to the site for two days, the foreman called me repeatedly to get my news. After three days I started going to the side but the pain in my leg did not subside. I was not given any work, the foreman would tell you to rest what other people would do. You just take care and rest. As much as the foreman helped me, he felt like one of my own family. I will never forget him. Now I talk to him sometimes. I am eternally grateful to him for teaching me good Hindi, teaching me good work and helping me since I came to Saudi Arabia.
