When the fields full of Hemant crops become empty, it is understood that winter is coming under the blanket of thick fog. The cold north wind shivers the bones, and it comes with its form. The Navanna festival was going on from home to home in Bengal. Since time immemorial, Bangladesh has been making the joy of winter more enjoyable by eating pithapuli at home. In the winter, palm juice and various pithapulis are consumed everywhere in villages and towns. Every house in the village is filled with the smoke of pithy-making. Village women show their skills by making Pitha.
Moreover, it is filled with many other winter cakes, including ras pitha, oil pitha, patisapata, and vapapuli. Vapa pitha is created and sold not only in the village but also on the street corners of the city. It's great to eat roasted duck with warm Chhit Pitha in the winter, isn't it? First, the rice should be soaked for 2 hours. Then, the rice should be blended.
Then, all the ingredients, like salt, egg, and water, should be well mixed in the rice powder. Many people make Chit Pitha without eggs, but when I add an egg, it makes the Pitha softer, and the taste is better.
The shells spread around the stove while filling and sprinkling. For that, I put a needle in the lid of a bottle, made 6/7 holes, and filled the bottle with mixed balls.
Now heat the tawa or non-stick frypan and sprinkle the filled balls on the tawa. Cover for a few minutes.
Then I served a hot pita with duck meat.
