Out of sight, out of mind is a proverb that means you can soon forget people or things that are no longer visible or present at the moment. It is said to emphasize that when someone or something cannot be seen, it may be easy to forget it, him or her.
It is very possible to forget people and things that are not immediately present or around us. There are some important relatives and people that are so dear and special to us that no matter how far they may be distant from us, they are still in our minds. We take thought of them everyday of our lives, we pray for them and wish them well and such people are mostly our blood relatives. It is rather said "Out of sight is not out of mind"

People that has impacted our lives so well through building us by motivation, financial support, always being there for us when we need them most. Such people are mostly not blood relatives. They could be friends and colleagues. They may not live in the same house with us or might not even live in the same town or country with us but are always there to support us anytime we call on them for help. Such people are very wonderful and special people to me.
Other times there are also some of our family members who always stand by us through thick and thorn to support and pray for us in all that we go through in life. Such people are usually ever in our hearts even after they may live this planet earth.
There are also other people who are thorn in our flesh and we will ever wish that we never come in contact with us in life. Such people if they go away for a very long time we will never want to keep them in mind because each time we have memory of them, it is always sorrow and pains that fills our hearts. These are the people we could say out of sight, out of mind.

In my life I have both blood relatives and friends who have been so dear to my heart such that despite their distance to me they forever remains in my heart. I cannot for any reason forget them for all their supports and care towards my life right from when I was born till now.
One of such persons is my mother. My mother is so dear to my heart, she is all I have ever gotten in my life. This woman has made a lot of sacrifices for me. She lost one of her eyes to me. She has been with me right from birth, she prays for me everyday. She has been with me whenever I am sick. During the time I put to birth it was through Cesarean section she slept in the hospital floor just to look after me. I love and cherish her so much, even though we do not live together, she is forever in my mind.
Another person that has affected my life so much is Dr. Uyinomen Ekong. She is not a blood relatives but has been very supportive ever since I came in contact with her. When I was getting married on my wedding night, I slept in her house, got dressed and she drove me to the church and stood by until the wedding was over. She and her husband took us to a hotel and paid for the apartment that we lodged.
During my child's birth she was present gave us the financial support and moral supports. In fact anytime I am in trouble and call on her she is always there to support me. She calls from time to time to check on me and my family. These are special people that I cannot do without and for no reason will keep them out of mind.

A very important person that if out of sight is not out of mind is my beloved daughter, she is so precious to me and I love her dearly. Even when she goes to school and I go to work. Most times at the office she will just cross my mind and I will begin to wonder how she is fairing in school. The time I worry most is when she is ill. This is very unique and natural for mother's to always have their children in mind.
