Hello friends, Happy New Year to you all. I am praying that the new year will make you forget all your sorrows and bring you endless happiness and joy. I hope everyone is spending the new year very happily with their family. I am spending the new year with my whole community, which is very special to me.

For the first time in our area, a domestic football tournament is being organized, and it is being organized only with boys from our area. The tournament will run throughout the month of January with a total of 12 teams, and the opening ceremony is scheduled for December 31 so that everyone can celebrate the new year together.

However, I was called by our team captain to come to the field for a photo shoot with our team members. Many people participated in this tournament from 10 to 50 years old who were selected as players of different teams through the lottery.

I have some older brothers and some younger brothers on my team. According to the instructions of the captain, we all went to the field and took a photoshoot together. Then I went to the shop and got some work done.

Then, at 3 p.m., I put on my jersey and went back to the field to participate in the opening ceremony. The banners of all the teams, including ours, were already prepared, and everyone came to the field with their team banners in hand.

I loved seeing such a tournament organized in our area. Those who were in the host committee of the tournament spared no effort in enhancing the beauty. The playground was beautifully decorated for the opening ceremony. It was decorated with colorful flower balloons and festoons, and the entire program was covered with videography and drone shots.

As this tournament was being organized for the first time, the tournament organizing committee decided to cinematograph the entire opening ceremony to keep it as a memory. First, all the teams gathered at one place, and all the team members stood in a circle with their banners in their hands so that the drone could take the shot. I stood together with my team members with our banner and took pictures.

The chairman and councilor of the Union Parishad of our area were present at the opening ceremony. They encourage us to support this tournament and organize it every year. After all of their speeches were over, we all held a rally on the road adjacent to our field. The tournament rally was conducted in a very orderly and peaceful manner so that the people of the area did not face any inconvenience. We all had a lot of fun during the rally.

The opening ceremony took place almost until the evening, and everything was organized according to all the rules and regulations of football federation. As per the schedule, there will be two matches every day, and the daily matches will be start at 8 p.m.

Two matches between four teams were held on the first day, one of which ended in a draw and the other 2-0. All kinds of security measures were taken inside and outside the field. I enjoyed both matches with pleasure.

It was almost late at night to finish the game and then there was a New Year's celebration.

My team's first game will play on January 1 at 9 p.m. I am very excited for the first match. After many days, I will be playing on the football field, so I have been practicing with my team for the last 3–4 days. These were my activities on the last day of 2023. Happy New Year to you all.
