Memories of coming first in an office drawing competition on Independence Day, 2016. || By @sdiaafreen

Assalamu Alaikum All Stemians.

Hope Everyone is doing well.

My username is @sadiaafreen and I’m from Gazipur, Bangladesh.

On December 16, 1971, the Bangladesh Liberation Army and the Indian Army captured Vijay. Therefore, Bangladesh and India have been celebrating this day as Victory Day for almost half a century. On December 16, Pakistan or Pak forces surrendered to "Mukti Bahini" and Indian forces in Dhaka.

Which is deeply scarred in Bengali’s mind. Likewise, his reflection can be seen in an event in my previous office.

Memories of coming first in an office drawing competition on Independence Day, 2016.

Cultural programs of Bangladesh were never left out in my office. Everyone used to celebrate together. We all in the office believed in celebrating any occasion together with much joy. Victory Day was no exception.

HR of the office had announced the "Picture Drawing" competition 1 week before and asked those who would participate in the competition to include their names in the list of contestants. I was not present in the office when the contest was announced. So some information was not known. Several different groups were assigned to draw a picture. Which was unknown to me. I didn't know that. When I asked others, no one told me about this.

I sketch in pencil first. (Step 1)

Naturally, not everyone lives in the same place or the same house. So it was not possible to draw only one picture on a piece of paper.

Step 2.

Be that as it may! After coming home from the office, I fell into a big worry. Because, after working all day, I can return home at night. So when, how, can I paint!!! That's a great idea. Later I thought I would finish the painting anyway and participate in the competition In-Shah-Allah. What you think is what I do.

Step 3.

Anyway! First I bought a large piece of art paper and brought it home. Pencils, watercolors, everything was already at home. So I didn't have to buy a new one again.

Then I start the pencil sketch one night, i.e. after midnight, and finish the sketch at 3 am. After finishing the pencil sketch, I didn't do anything else at night. After getting fresh I went to sleep as I had to get up early to go to the office.

Processing (Step 4)

I went to the office the next day. After leaving, I found out that the next day was off for some reason. I am happy to hear this news. After the office, I came home in leaps and bounds. I ate, rested, and started painting.

I spent a lot of time trying to paint the picture by mixing my own "sweetness of mind".

Time to color in a pencil sketch, Ammu took the picture. (Step 5)

Since the competition was organized based on"Victory Day". So I tried to paint the picture following that. I did the painting entirely on art paper, so it was very large. As a result, it took much longer to paint. I even forgot to eat. So Mom was very worried. Because mom was very worried about me. If I get sick, that is. To be honest, I got sick afterward.

After finishing the paintwork. (Step 6)

Because I didn't have much time, I wanted to finish this work by leaving everything. I was left alone with more pressure in a short time.

Whatever it is! I was able to finish my work on time, Alhamdulillah!

Some random pictures.

I went to the office the next day and submitted the painting to our team leader. Our team leader submits it to the HR department.

Later on December 16, we had to give a presentation in English on the drawing in front of all the HR Department and other bosses.

Was My Gift For 1st Position.

I was very tense that what will be the result. After giving the result I got to know that I got first place. After knowing this, my only thought was that my suffering was successful "Alhamdulillah".

I enjoyed participating in this office competition with everyone. Because everyone is such a good and beautiful-hearted person, they very nicely wished and prayed for me to win this first place.

I always thank Allah for everything, Alhamdulillah. Today, friends, from the pages of my memories
