Assalamualaikum to all. I hope everyone is well. Alhamdulillah I am okay with your prayers. Today I have developed a new recipe through Steem for the Bangladesh community. Today's recipe is unique because it is eaten on a special occasion. So let's start...
First, let's know a few words about today's recipe,
Jorda-rice - is a kind of sweet food, or you can also say sweet rice. The word Zorda is an Urdu language and means yellow. The color of this dish makes it even more impressive. Yellow color is its specialty. One of the foods of any festival in our country is jorda-rice. Jorda-rice is served after the main meal at weddings or any other festive occasion.

The way I make Jorda rice.
First I will wash the rice well several times. soak the rice in water. after a while then take the rice out of the water. then take the rice out of the water.
Secondly, I will now boil 5 to 6 cups of water in a pot and add Jorda color. Now I will give those washed in boiling water.
Third, Now shake the rice lightly and keep it till 80% cooked. When 80% is cooked, it should be taken down.
Fourth Remove the rice from the water and spread the rice on a tray to cool. This will make the Jorda rice crispy and beautiful.
Fifth, Fifth, Add sugar and water in a bowl and shake it with cardamom- cinnamon- bay leaves, and cloves. Mix lemon or orange juice (I had lemon) with the rice.
Sixth, mix it well with ghee and powdered milk when the water dries up and becomes equal to rice. And reduce the heat of the stove to cook and let the rice boil for a while.
After opening the door, mix the ground almonds and remove them from the oven. After finishing cooking, I have to pour the rice into a bowl. Now I have decorated the rice with chopped raisin nuts and baby sweets; you can decorate it as you wish. Serve with delicious Jorda rice.
