It was a heavy rain fall from my balcony.
As the raindrops begin their gentle percussion on rooftops, a subtle sense of leisure takes over. The allure of wrapping oneself in a snug "Katha" (traditional bangla blanket) and surrendering to extended slumber becomes irresistible. But alas, responsibilities shift as I step into the roles of a mother and household steward. Yet, the yearning for those languorous slumbers on rainy mornings remains.
Having fun in rain with by daughter.
Reminiscing my unburdened days, I recall the rooftop rain showers of my childhood. The sheer ecstasy of dancing in the rain, feeling the cool drops against my skin, is a sensation that still tingles in my memory. Now, as a mother nurturing a young soul, I've introduced my daughter to this simple pleasure. We cautiously partake in our rain rendezvous, mindful of evading the clutches of a cold.
"Letka Khichuri " and rainy day made for each other.
A quintessential experience on rainy days is conjuring up a steaming pot of "Letka khichuri." This dish and the rain share an unspoken kinship—it's as though they were destined to complement each other. The mingling aromas, the tender grains, and the medley of spices create a symphony that defines comfort. Thus, as raindrops compose their melody outside, I orchestrate this flavorful harmony in my kitchen.
A cup of hot Tea while seeing rain fall.
Sipping a warm cup of "Tea or Coffee", perched by the window, is a pastime that attains its zenith on rainy days. The cadence of raindrops on leaves, the earthy aroma of the beverage, and the cocoon of warmth that envelops me forge an experience that is almost meditative. It's a cherished juncture where I'm an audience to nature's performance, an observer of life's tranquil interlude.
Chotpota "Fuchka" at rainy evening add extra happiness.
And let's not neglect the culinary treasures. Delving into delectable "chotpota" treats like crispy "Pakoras," tangy "Chotpoti," delicate "Fuchkas," and savory "Momos" is an indulgence that rainy days deserve. The rain, with its symphony, sets the perfect backdrop for a culinary carnival. Given the chance, I gladly curate this gastronomic festivity.
Now -a-days my little one also enjoy the rainy day.
So there you have it—my rainy day symphony. A collection of simple pleasures, woven into the fabric of my Bangladeshi soul. Rainy days are more than weather here; they are a flood of emotions, a melody of memories, and a collage of cherished traditions.
