Assalamu Alaikum to the readers

How are all? I hope all of my friends are happy and well. By God grace, I am also well and happy. Today I'm going to share with you some of my day trips to the mountain fair. Organized under the Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs, the Parbatta Mela was held on the premises of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.

Today, I left home thinking that I would go around the Parbatta Mela all day. I don't know why I don't like going to the fair without a saree. So today, I wore a saree to Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy by rickshaw. Earlier one night, I came for a walk. Fewer people during the day. We left around 10 a.m. And my companions were, as always, my sister and niece.

The bright morning sun in winter and the noise of the natives with it. It seemed that I had moved to a mountainous area. We first went to the clothing stores. It was nice to see their colourful clothes. I have some tribal clothes. So, these are no longer purchased from fairs. I bought some Thanaka face packs and sandalwood, binni rice, etc.

There were many types of shops here. For example, hill vegetables, fruits, tribal clothes, jewellery, food, cotton, tea, coffee, etc. We started looking at all the shops one by one. The hill vegetable and fruit shop had jum-grown Cold Potato, Pahari Kochu, Khira, Wild Potato, Bitter Brinjal, Pahari Turmeric, Snails, Amlaki, Ginger, Green Tetul, Paddy Pepper, Orange, Corn, Wild Banana, Bamboo Kurol, Marfa, Binni Rice, etc.

In addition to these, there were cotton plants, coffee plants, sesame plants, bioscopes, etc., in the fair. And there were large Ektara and Chandelier made by Bamboo for exhibition. A big stage was set up in the middle of the field. Here, the hill girls were practising their dance. Later in the afternoon, dance and music will be held on this stage.

After visiting the shops, we went to the food shops. The food of hill people is very different from ours. So we chose the halal foods. What I ate: Pati Sapta Pitha, Binni Rice Payesh and Rice, Pahari Noodles (Mundi), Duck Meat, Bambo Chicken, Pachon, Chicken Motor, Bamboo Tea, etc. All the food from Paharis was amazing.

Then we left to come home. It was about three o'clock to see the whole fair. We got a new experience by seeing the wonderful and new things at the fair.

Thank You for reading till the end.
May God blessed you all.💛🌿
