Hello wonderful steemians in Steem-BRU (BY-RU-UA) Community.
It's a good one for @slon21veka for this week's contest about how far we live from where we were born. Thanks
I was born in Imo state, Nigeria. A state where the indigens speaks a language known as Igbo. In the year 2004, a baby boy cried his first in the world at a local government in Imo state. The name of the place is Ohaji/Egbema.
I didn't grow up there, I grew up in Uyo the capital of Akwa Ibom State where the people speak Ibibio and Efik. I learnt the language and also schooled there. It is in the South-south geopolitical zone of Nigeria.
The distance between where I was born and the place where am living in is 150km covered in 3hours 13mins. Due to traffick jam and other things that slows a vehicle down, traveling for me takes 5hours approximately 45mins 6hours before arriving to my home town in Okwudor, Njaba local government area Imo state.
Though it's not really far off, road transport distances and charges also matters
Vehicle | Time frame |
---|---|
Car | 3hrs 13mins or 14 mins |
Lorry | Undefined |
Bike | 3hrs 17mins |
Foot | 1day |
