Winter is the coolest part of the year and it starts from December to February and in the southern hemisphere it starts from June to August.
It is usually characterised by holidays and vacations because of chrismas and new year. We also experience snow fall and a lot of visitors.
My most anticipated is the christmas turkey.

In Nigeria we don't have winter but we have what we call hamattan season, around November ending till mid febuary. Though it's cold but not as cold as winter.

my winter plans

I usually travel home every winter to spend quality time with family.
I stay in a seperate city from my family. I Stay in Owerri city, East of Nigeria and my Family stays
In lagos west of Nigeria.
I only have this once a year to visit them because of my Job.
I left my family to the east 2010 and ever since then i spend my winter holidays with them.

cost of my winter plans

Having plan to visit my Family this winter, transportation by road should cost me about 10 steem Dollar to and fro by land, while by air it should cost me about 35 steem dollar.
Travelling by road should take me Nothing less than 8hours while by air is should take me 45mins to get to lagos.

Aside transportations I also have to get gifts for my sibblings and neighbors.
The total cost of the Gifts I planed on buyin should cost me about 20 steem dollars.

So if am traveling by road i should be needing at least 30steemdollars to meet my needs and if am travelling through the air i should be needing at least 55 steemdollars to fit my bills.

Like i said I always look forward to this time yearly.
I start to save from jenuary once I resume work. But thanks to steemit I had extra financial support to make my winter plans less burdensome.
