How Voting and Curation Work In Steem

What happened if you vote for a post before 5 minutes marks after posting?

The first 5mins of the post from the time of publishing in Steem Blockchain is known as Reverse Auction, in which a linear discount of curation reward applies.

So if you vote during the first five mins age of a post then you lose a certain percentage of the curation reward.

• At the first minute, the curator receives 20% out of 100% of the 50% earned by curators.
• At 2 mins, the curator receives 40%
• AT 3mins, the curator receives 60%
• At 4 mins, the curator receives 80%

The remaining reward percentage at each time interval returns to the reward pool.

I would join any community which is active to get interact with other active users. Active communities mean active responses to posts which in turn would help me build myself. taking my interest into consideration, I have joined Music for Steem, Project Hope and Steem Africa
