Good afternoom dear steemians.I read the Achievement post guide on how to prepare Achievement 3 and so I have decided to practice what I learnt.Ladies ams gentlemen,,here is my post on Plagiarism.

Plagiarism

Who among us here love to see our items stolen???...I guess your answers would be NO.Plagiarism is simply an academic theft, which means stealing someone's work or post and claiming to be the original owner or failure to cite or reference the original owner or source. So plagiarism is the process of copying or recopying another person's work and presenting it as though it is your work.On Steemit, plagiarism is a very serious crime ams comes with punishment.

Here on Steemit, Plagiarism highly frowned at.Users on Steemit are expected to produce original contents. There are different types or forms for plagiarism.

Types of Plagiarism

Mosaic Plagiarism:
In this case,a user copies from different authors and combine it to form his own work. For example if a user copies a definition from different authors and mix it up and claiming to the original owner without referencing the original authors.

Copy and Paste:
This involvee copying word to word.It is verbatim in nature. In this case, the user copies the entire work of another person and then reproduce it as if he is the main author.

Self Plagiarism:
You can still plagiarise your work.It is called self Plagiarism.Example,if you recopy your old work and present it as a new work.It is said to Plagiarism because you are plagiarizing yourself.

How to Avoid Plagiarism

You can do these things to avoid plagiarism.

•Always put reference from where you got some of the information you actually used for your work.

•The user can also use quotations to indicate a quote which was got from another place.

•You can check your work before posting by using Plagiarism checker application to scan your work before posting it.

Consequences of Plagiarism

Here on Steemit Plagiarism is a big offence.

•One of the consequences of Plagiarism invloves the perpetrator being stopped from posting on Steemit.

•You will lose any vote you have gotten on that post and may hardly get vote from steemcurator again.

•Plagiarism can lead downvoting of a post by steemcurator.

•Onr can also to lose his reputation on Steemit by practicing plagiarism.

Last line.I think I have fulfilled the requirements for Achievement 3 in Newcomers Community.
