HELLO, DEAR NEW ONES!

Welcome to my blog I hope you are having a pleasant journey on the platform. As a new user, there are some things you should do on the platform and they're ones you shouldn't try. You know of plagiarism right? Oh, I'm aware all of you understand that we should say no to plagiarism, but the truth is other offenses like plagiarism still exists that we shouldn't commit. In this article, I will discuss the Etiquette contents of steem.

Steemit is made up of many users from different races and backgrounds and as such there are sets of guidelines and rules or you can call them acceptable behavior which every user must follow to keep this space-saving and enjoyable, I hope you will benefit from this information. What are these rules find out in the next paragraphs

DO NOT BEG FOR VOTES:

Screenshot_20221121-192403.png

Don't ask others to vote you, if they find your post to be interesting, they will vote for it, and don't expect reciprocation if you vote for someone.

  • Don't pay for votes it is considered an abuse.

  • Don't vote for your post, it's a wrong practice because this is a social platform as such let others judge your content and vote for it because they benefit from it, and your content is educative, informative, and creative. You simply can't rate yourself.

DON'T OVER POST:

Do not make 10 posts a day so many people don't have time to read all of them so have mercy on your followers. Also making many posts a day will cause people to lose interest in your blog or you might end up annoying them. Most importantly your payout will reduced if you make more than four posts a day.

DON'T BE FAKE OR POST OTHER WORKS AS YOUR OWN:

Screenshot_20221022-055346.png

Don't try to earn rewards by impersonating others, stealing their work, And making false claims. A whole community is watching over you and you will be caught so don't just try it.

DON'T RESTEEM EVERYTHING YOU SEE:

It's just like over-posting. Resteeming is an interesting feature though, but Resteem only interesting posts, I meant only what your followers will benefit from. For example updates from the Steemitblog, important news, or contests.

Don't Bribe People To Vote, Fellow, or Resteem Your Post, also do not ask for Money from people directly, as this will ruin your reputation and get your followers annoyed.

DO PROVIDE VERIFICATION:

Dishonest people are everywhere so when asked for further verification please comply, and always add the link to your verified introductory post at the end of each post you publish. This will make other real users trust you and you will get more votes.

LET GO OF WRONG DOING:

If someone errs you and later apologizes for being wrong, try and amend things with them and give them another chance. Don't hold grudges because it will harm you, the other party, and the whole community at large.

CHECK ON OTHERS BLOG, READ, VOTE, AND LEAVE COMMENT ON THEIR POSTS:

A lot of users are joining Steemit daily, please spend some of your time reading their posts, and comments and Upvoting them, it will encourage them. Remember to do unto others what you will like them to do unto you ~ the golden rule.

Share Great Post On Other Social Media Like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. It's a way of promoting our wonderful platform.

ALWAYS HELP OTHERS OUT AND DON'T FORGET TO SAY THANK YOU:

Every user has to start somewhere, and we all need help especially when we joined new, so if someone asks you questions be polite and help if you can, and don't fail to thank the person who helped you, gratitude is a must!

REPLY TO YOUR COMMENTS:

People use their precious time to read and make meaningful comments on your post, it's appropriate to answer and appreciate their efforts. It will be considered ungrateful if you don't reply.

ADMIT YOUR MISTAKE AND APOLOGIZE:

It takes courage and Honesty to own up to one's mistake and apologized, but you'll gain people's respect if you do.

TAKE A STEP BACK SOMETIMES:

At times you will feel burnout, so taking a step back will help you regain your perspective. If you get into lots of arguments and conflicts just give yourself time, and keep away to reflect on things.

DON'T DROP UNRELATED LINKS ON COMMENTS:

It's considered link spamming so don't try it.

DON'T ENGAGE IN TAG SPAMMING:

For example, if your post is not about you reaching a dolphin 🐬 don't use #,clubdolphin, same goes with Diarygame and crytoandme, etc. But always use your Country's tag and steemexclusivity tag if you only publish your content in Steemit.

Don't go around and be creating unnecessary drama, it won't look good on you instead you will be embarrassing yourself so don't be a drama queen.

DON'T BE A TROLL:

Do not go about finding trouble and teasing ladies on the platform as if you're a 14yrs old boy who's in love. Respect yourself and others too.

Don't gang up against one person, or go on a witch hunt, it's not helping except someone act maliciously fine, if not just point out the person's mistake and move on!

Don't criticize someone except the person asked you to, Don't do it simply because you don't like their work.

CONCLUSIONS:

I hope you find this informative, just stick to the above and every other etiquette you know is healthy to the platform, please let Etiquette not die young but let it be part of us so that Steemit will continue to be a safe place to be. Thank you!
