I hope you are well, healthy, and at peace by the grace of God. Achievment-2 asked me to complete the task after my achievement-1 was verified. I sat down to write about the little time I got after doing my family work. I studied Steemit's security and learned its basic security, the function of security keys, and other security. After I opened a Steemit account, I learned its rules and got some security keys that I have carefully secured. So now I will write about this in detail. Some definitions are taken from Google.
What is Blockchain?
Blockchain is a cryptocurrency financial services company. The company began as the first Bitcoin blockchain and later created a cryptocurrency wallet.
What is Blockchain security?
Blockchain security is a comprehensive risk management system for a blockchain network, using cyber security frameworks, assurance services, and best practices to reduce risks against attacks and fraud. Blockchain is a distributed ledger technology designed to engender trust and confidence in an environment. It allows information access to all designated nodes or members who can record, share, and view encrypted transactional data on their blockchain.
How does Blockchain security work?
“Security Keys” are second-factor devices that protect users against phishing and man-in-the-middle attacks. Users carry a single device and can self-register it with any online service that supports the protocol. It is based on the theory of cryptography, decentralization, and agreement, which assure high security. And the system can’t be changed, hacked, or manipulated. Security may come in the aspect of keys, passwords, biometric fingerprints, face recognition, etc. So it will be personal when a user selects his password, so security has a crucial part of data protection. As we work here it is very important to know and understand our Steemit security. It will be personal once a user selects it.
After registration on Steemit, I got my protection keys.
Keys of Steemit
Steemit has different types of keys/passwords and each of these is a connection with an account. Each has a different function which is as below
Posting keys
Posting keys used by us to log in to an account at Steemit. This key allows you to post, comment, edit posts, vote and follow other accounts. All the other interesting users can follow, and write comments, redeeming posts. It staves off any third party from transferring money from our wallet.
Owner keys
It is a very powerful key apart from your master password. The owner key is only meant for use when necessary. It can change any account key, including the owner. With the owner key, you can transfer any funds to your account.

Active Key
Active key is used for financial and wallet interconnected activities. When I require to convey coins, trade the internal market, transfer steem dollars, move and control funds, vote for witnesses, power up & down deals, change account settings, like profile picture change motivation I need an activation key.
Memo key
The memo key is the only key specifically used for private messaging. It is used for encrypting and decrypting memos when funds transfer and private messages are sent and received via your Steemit account.
Public key
It is associated with usernames and is used to encrypt and verify messages not required for login.
Master password
The master password is the most important thing. I saved my master password in my Google drive. So nobody can have access to my master password. I have secured a digital copy of it and also written it done by myself. I ensure that do not lose my master password anyway. If I lose this key, my account will be unrecoverable. I shall value my account and I shall keep this key very safe.
Transferring Process
To transfer them to another steem user account, we need to follow the below steps.
- First, I will log in to Steemit with the correct username and password. Open my profile, I will get the wallet button. I will get full data in the wallet.
- A power button will show when the wallet is open. If you click on that, you will get several options where there are transfer, transfer to saving, trade, and market.
- If you click the transfer button, it will show a return to transfer funds to another steam account or transfer to the account. Then I have to collect the information, I will do it next.
- Then another page will show a sign-in button where an active key, owner key, and master password will be required. Then the transaction will be complete The function of Power up
Now power up button, I will discuss the power-up button work. To know about the procedure, we need to follow the below steps.
1 . On the wallet information page, we get a power-down button. It will appear just below the transfer to saving button. Fill in the box and click the power-up button. It will show a new page written to convert to Steem Power.
- Then fill in the requirements and click on the power button. Confirm transfer to vesting. Click all right to ok. It will appear sign on the page, put the activation key or owner key or master password. Then sign-in button and all ok.
