Hello members of the Steemit community.Here comes my achievement 2 post.Security is an important aspect of our everyday life.
Sequel to my registration on this platform through the help of @focusnow,I was given the Master password and the other keys viz:Posting key,Active key,Owner key and Memo key.
Just as the name implies,the Master password is the mother of the other keys,which means that the other keys are derivatives of the master password.Hence, the master password should be guided jealously.
The Posting key basically serves for everyday login.The Active key comes into play when transfer is required.The Owner key plays a role when a change in password is desired whilst the Memo key is used mainly to encrypt and decrypt memos when transferring funds.
It is worthy of note that the Master Password needed absolute security.To this end,I will have to keep it safe by storing it in different secure platforms.I can store it offline as note or in a flash drive.I can as well print it and save as hardcopy.
To transfer tokens to another user, I will have to go to wallet, select the triangle next to the needed fund and click on transfer, specifying the username, and amount to be transferred.Then the active key is specified,in a couple of seconds,the funds are transferred to the desired user.
One can enable power up to Steem Power in order to get more impact on posts and comments.
